This vacuum haircut kit does exactly what the description says, solving a problem I've wrestled with for years. Since 2018 I've used an excellent Remington HC5850 "Virtually Indestructible Hair Clipper for Men and it's never failed in any way, used about once a month for all these years. Its only problem is the mess as the hair which is trimmed off falls everywhere. Consequently I tend to procrastinate about cutting my hair until it's become unruly. With this new haircut device including the brilliant built-in vacuum I'm confident I'll be able to give myself a quick trim or full haircut at any time, quickly and easiily. I used the device for the first time last night, and for once didn't need to jump in the shower to wash the hair off, because I had virtually no hair trimmings on my shoulders, down the back of my neck or anywhere else. Remington says it vacuums up about 90% of the trimmed/cut hair, and I think that's about right. The very small amount of escaped hair couldn't have been more than 10% and seemed even less, just a few stray hairs on and around the sink, and zero on me or on the floor. Amazing. Those who complain about a few stray hairs escaping are nitpicking, not using the device properly, or congenital complainers; this thing does exactly what they say it does. It is fairly large in the hand but it has to be in order to include the hair collection chamber, which I found to be just the right size to capture all of my hair from a single haircutting session (and my hair as rather long so there was a lot of it). I do not find the razor unwieldy or in any way difficult to maneuver in use. Considering my excellent experience with the durability and reliability of my older Remington haircutting device, I expect this will be cutting my hair for years to come. Purchased on Black Friday of 2025 and I strongly recommend it; I would buy it again.

TOTAL GAME CHANGER!! Best clipper I've EVER owned - HUGE time saver!! ALMOST NO CLEAN-UP!
I've been cutting my own hair for about 15 years, and have tried almost every brand of clippers on the market. And lemme tell ya: This brilliant technology should set the standard for all hair clippers everywhere. SO EASY TO USE!!! SUCH GREAT QUALITY!! THE VACUUM FEATURE IS ONE OF A KIND and GENUINELY LIFE CHANGING!! Now I can literally give myself a haircut right before I go somewhere, even if I've already taken my shower. I used to "put off" and procrastinate on cutting my hair, and I'd honestly get feeling self-conscious or depressed until I "got around to it." I would put it off because I didn't wanna deal with the clean up. This changes all that. Now I cut my hair super often because it's so effortless, clean, quick and easy with these clippers!! I've owned many, many clipper sets from many brands including well-known big names like Wahl. These clippers are hands-down, above and beyond the best haircut clippers I've EVER owned. The hair cutting process is so smooth and efficient. The quality of the cut looks like I paid for a high end trim at the barber. Very, very easy to use. It just glides across your hair. So while the clippers are top notch, the vacuum component is what REALLY sets these off!!! This should set the standard for how ALL clippers are made!!! It's super brilliant. While you're cutting your hair, instead of it getting all over your clothes, all over your sink/floor or whatever room you're doing your hair in, barely ANY hair gets on anything. Just a few whispies come off but easily 95-99% of the hair is vacuumed up into the little compartment on the machine, which is super fast and easy to empty and has a good capacity. I find that I only have to empty it probably once, maybe twice max when I give myself a full haircut. Due to the built-in vacuum technology, you can cut your hair or trim your facial hair RIGHT before you go somewhere (e.g. right before you head to work) without any worry about a major clean up whatsoever. You can even cut your hair AFTER taking your shower, if you want to! With all the other clippers I've ever owned until now, I had to strip down when I'd cut my hair or wear a cape because hair would get stuck in my clothes. Then there would be a big clean up job and had to take a shower to get all the hair off my neck, face and body. Well, thanks to this BRILLIANT unit? NOT ANYMORE!!! Totally life-changing. Would buy again and again and again. This really should set the standard for ALL hair clippers across ALL brands. I can't imagine clippers without the vacuum feature, and again the clipper part itself is super high quality and gives the best haircut you'll ever get that seriously rivals a professional, expensive cut from a barber. Whether you're planning to get this to cut your own hair, to cut someone else's hair or to have someone cut your hair, you will NOT be disappointed with this absolutely one of a kind and easy to use device. One minor thing to keep in mind is that these are slightly bigger than clippers that don't have the vacuum feature, due to the compartment that holds the hair it picks up. So you have to get used to how it feels to hold these due to their slightly larger size. But you get used to it very quickly, and it's totally worth it!! I do recommend learning how to get a good blend by watching YouTube videos, no matter what clippers you use, for the best results possible. That's how I learned and people always assume I got my hair professionally cut at the barber even tho I have no formal training! You won't find anything better than this, so I suggest you stop scrolling endlessly like I did until I found these, and hit BUY NOW!!! BONUS: Excellent customer service experience from Remington when I got a model where the vacuum component quit. They immediately sent me a replacement and allowed me to keep the first set (which still worked as regular clippers just no vacuum on that one.) So I got two for the price of one and they were awesome. BIG SHOUT OUT TO MARY DENNING IN REMINGTON'S CUSTOMER SERVICE WHO DID A PHENOMENAL JOB HELPING ME OUT!!

Great cutting, annoying cord
I’m still using it and overall it works very well. The vacuum feature actually helps keep things clean, and the cutting performance is solid for both hair and beard. The only downside for me is the power cord. Nowadays, using a corded device feels a bit inconvenient compared to cordless options. Other than that, it’s reliable and gets the job done.

Greatest Invention Ever!
This is the greatest invention of all time: hair and beard clippers with a built in vacuum cleaner! No more mess, no hairs to clog up drains and make a mess on the floor. I love it. I am 84 years old and live alone and cut my own hair and that has always been a challenge. These clippers make it easy. I often have the clippers at an odd angle, tilted out of position, yet it seems to collect all of the hair that I cut off. It has a clear cover on the vacuum part so you can check it and when it is getting full, it is easy to pull the plastic "catcher" off and shake the hairs out. Then pop it back on to the clippers and continue clipping. It has a lot of combs so I just picked a couple that work best for me and they work fine. Be careful if you don't put one of the combs on the cutters because it will nick you. I wish the power cord were a little thicker. It is thin and stiff so when it bunches up it is a little harder to straighten out, but that's okay - the vacuum cleaner function makes this an A+++ item.

Better than Sliced Bread
I’m a woman who’s been shaving her head for 29 years and have had Remington clippers in the past and always liked them. I saw the idea of this somewhere and decided to do some research and came across this and all its good reviews. I was skeptical, but decided to try it. It truly is a game-changer! No more laying paper towels or plastic bags down (and unnecessary waste) or awful cleanup after. This clipper really does suck up 98% of the hair. I was shocked at what a good job it did. It leaves behind about the same amount an inconsiderate husband might after a much-needed maintenance shave. It also makes cutting itself easier. Because it sucks up the hair as it goes, you can more easily see what you’re doing. No left behind hair stuck to your head. No itches in the shoulders. I haven’t yet tried it on my husband… I do his beard and full haircut once a month, and he has VERY thick hair, so that will be a real test. I’ll be sure to come back and update. But so far… amazing. I already texted it to my brother who recently started shaving his head too 😂 I think my only concern would be: longevity. I don’t know if it will last a year or a decade. I do take care of my clippers so I hope it will last. And I’ll pray they never stop making it just in case it does need replacement, whether it’s sooner or later. One other thing… I’m used to a cordless so I didn’t know if the cord would bug me. It didn’t. It’s long enough and thin enough to not get in the way. But it isn’t replaceable (it’s permanently attached), so it’s another possible point of failure. I’m being careful how I store it. Thanks for a great product Remington. It will be a pleasure not having to prep ahead of time and do a lot of annoying cleanup after. Love it!

Does a great job
So far this is working great. I had my wife give me a haircut and it was a LOT less to clean. The container was able to hold all of the hair for the entire haircut, no need to empty it halfway or anything. Really just had to clean the hair that was snipped off afterwards. It’s a vacuum so it makes noise but less than a hairdryer.

No mess, integrated vacuume hair clipper
Ever since COVID, I've always cut my own hair. Yeah, I'm cheap. I know, but it's so easy with this clipper, the snap on guides make it so that my hair stays the same length. Instead of my hand shaking and having nicks that provide more entertainment to friends than I want to admit to and it doesn't make a mess which my wife loves. So I can keep myself looking well-groomed, and I don't have to pay the soaring cost of a haircut Anymore. In fact, the cost of the clipper is much less than a single haircut. And if you get a haircut twice a month boy, that starts adding up in a hurry. Haircuts are now luxuries, not essentials. And I owe it all to this convenient vacuum clipper

Does not work (at least for me)
I have bought 4 sets of clippers and can say that these were probably the worst set I have ever had, and it does not help that they were also the most expensive. My other 3 sets were by Wahl, 2 of the chrome sets and 1 of the yellow looking ones, all around $25 dollars. I have extremely thin hair (but not bald) and about half-an-inch to one-inch long hair on the sides that I was using these clippers for. This product seems like it was half-developed (used the word "developed" as a euphemism for "donkey" in another case) by Remington and released with the intentions that the "vacuum" concept would quickly gain interest to those looking for clippers as it is a huge problem for those that cut their own hair, especially in an apartment like I live in where it is hard to clean up hair. First of all, the vacuum picked up only about half the hair that I had cut off, leaving the other half all over my sink. Second, that same vacuum created a mini tornado for whatever the clipper was cutting and blew it all over the sink counter and bathroom floor. So not only did it not do what it was supposed to do, it made matters worse, especially considering now the hair wasnt even chunks that's pick-up-able, but now it's like dropping a can of Morton salt on the floor. Moving onto the design of the clipper, IT IS HUGE! THAT SIZE-TO-RATIO PICTURE ON THE PRODUCT IS NOT LYING. IT ALMOST FEELS LIKE TAKING A BOTTLE OF WINE AND USING THAT AS THE CLIPPER. IT IS SO CLUNKY AND HARD TO WORK AROUND YOUR HEAD. You can't even tell what part of your head you're cutting as the clips feel so far away. It is also a hassle to put the guards on the clippers as you have to slide them on from the back and make sure they hit the blades versus putting the guard on the blade and snapping it back to click onto the clipper. You're also given a pair of scissors that are terrible and feel like they can break any moment. Like that feeling when you close the scissors and the circular-handles overlap each other (it's not a feeling, it actually does that). Finally, for a $35 dollar set, they give you a plastic bag that can't hold itself up and barely fits everything in without you jamming everything in and the fact that it's made of plastic causes it to collapse so things fall out and on goes this continuous cycle. Wahl sets at least come in a hard plastic case. All these reasons make me think even more that Remington is focused on making the most profit out of this clipper purely for the "vacuum" effect. All these other people who have given this product 5 stars must have huge hands/head, live in a garden where they don’t have to worry about where their hair blows off to, and like cheap things.
