Perfect Tonneau for 3rd Gen Tacoma
After spending a week looking into it and considering various high-priced options, I settled on the Tyger roll-up cover, and it’s been perfect for what I need. I was after something that blended in well, looked sharp, and kept the truck bed dry. It absolutely delivers. It’s got a sleek look, and with an OEM mat, everything inside stays dry. Sure, there are a few drips in the corners occasionally, but that’s more about the Tacoma's bed design than anything else. It’s just a bit of water that drains off quickly, no biggie. I’m a big fan of how it rolls up, giving you full access to the bed without needing to remove the cover. Plus, if you ever do need to take it off, it’s super easy and quick—done in about a minute by one person. It’s lightweight, so no worries about it weighing down your truck, but once it’s on, it feels sturdy and keeps the elements out. Installing it was a breeze, too. The brackets fit with the truck's existing rails, and it’s definitely a one-person job, shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes. The packaging and instructions are straightforward, clear, and everything’s well-organized. Plus, there’s a bunch of helpful installation videos on YouTube if you need them. Just a heads-up, if you’re looking to protect tools and equipment, this might not be the best pick. You’d need to shell out quite a bit more for a hardcover for that level of security. But for many Tacoma owners, this Tyger cover is a fantastic choice. My advice? Don’t overthink it. Go for what you need, not what everyone else says you should get. This cover’s a great buy that’ll leave you with some extra cash for other upgrades. I’m really happy with it and pretty sure you will be too.

Incredible cover for the price
Updating this review several years later... I'm amazed at how well this cover has performed. I've had this thing on my truck for just under four years, and honestly it looks as good as it did from day one. I live in the northeast and I don't baby my truck, and this thing has held up amazingly well. I've taken it on long road trips, I've accidentally slammed it down on loads that were taller than the bed more times than I'll admit, I have to tell my 50+ pound six-year-old to stop climbing on the top of it about once every other day, and it's been buried under snow countless mornings. Honestly I kind of want to upgrade to the T5 just because I kinda want to switch to a hardcover... but this thing is in such good shape I can't rationalize spending money on a new one. This one still works and looks as good as it did when I bought it. And it still takes all of ten seconds to flip up or down, and all of about three minutes to remove or install. If you want a soft trifold tonneau cover, I seriously encourage you to give this one a shot. My original review: I was planning on spending far, far more for a tonneau cover, but the overwhelmingly positive reviews here and on various forums elsewhere convinced me to give this a shot. It took me less than an hour to install, but most of that time was spent just kind of looking over all the parts and fiddling with it and making sure I had it lined up properly. The fit is really excellent, and it looks great on the truck. The corners popped up a little bit at first as a few others pointed out, but that was only noticeable from specific angles, they sat down within a day or two after the vinyl stretched a little. It's been rained on and driven at highway speeds in the rain, and I haven't seen any water in the bed. I didn't have to use the weatherstripping across the front of the bed--the weatherstripping built into the cover sealed that quite nicely--but I did cut little like 2" strips and apply it to the front corners of the cover. The foam bits on the corner of the cover seemed a little too short, and when I dry-fit the cover, there was light coming through. So that took all of three minutes to cut, apply, then re-place the cover. Again: it's been raining pretty much since I put the cover on, and I haven't seen any water in the bed.

Happy with this purchase - 2015 Tacoma
If you're reading this, you are probably comparing different brands of bed covers and deciding whether it's okay to buy this "cheap" cover as opposed to the more well-known brands, which cost 2-4x the price. I just installed this on my 2015 Tacoma so can share some comments/thoughts: - Fit & Finish: It looks good on the truck, matches well with the trim. Material seems thick enough and the ~1-year reviews I've read are promising. I imagine this is basically the same material/process used on the more expensive ones. There is a slight upward bow in the cross-bars which are intended to stop water/snow from pooling in the middle of the cover. Immediately after install there are some wavy bits on the side of the bed where the pieces fold. These may straighten out as it sits in the sun and settles. The nuts & bolts seem to be of good enough quality, lock washers are used where needed, etc. No complaints here, and I am the type of person to complain about these things. - Installation: Like several other reviews suggested, I didn't read the instructions - it is pretty straightforward. It took me about 30-40 minutes to unpack and get everything lined up and bolted down. 2 people is helpful but definitely not required. No tools required other than a knife/scissors to cut the weather stripping to length and a philips screwdriver if you want to move the tie-down clips on the cover. There are a few very small gaps which could maybe let a few drops of water in if you're driving through a heavy rainstorm at highway speeds. I am content with how well it seals. - Install specifics/advice: Clean off the front (cab) side of the bed liner well before you apply the weather stripping. To line up the cab-side brackets I just laid down in the truck bed so I could see everything. Once you have it on straight and the brackets are in place you can fold the cover up for final tightening. The tailgate side can be done with everything in place. Don't forget to tighten the set screws on the aluminum brackets, but not too tight since it could strip the threads. Before tightening down the rear brackets I re-installed 2 of the factory cargo tie-downs between the front and rear brackets - just in case I need to tie down something large with the cover open. The attachment hardware on the cover is adjustable, and I moved the rear clips inward 1 slot so they clip in at a straighter angle. If you're doing this on the same truck with the cargo rails, I would recommend doing this. Just need to remove a philips screw and move the clips inward 1 slot. I'm including a picture of this so you can see what I'm talking about. - Road worthiness: I bought this for an upcoming road trip so we can keep rain & snow off our cargo. We will be driving about 3000 miles from Texas through the midwest in winter. Will update after the trip if there are any problems but it seems solid. Overall this is exactly what I expected. It doesn't look "cheap" and I am content with the weather sealing, hardware attachment, etc. I haven't directly compared to the more expensive options but I can't imagine how another brand would be *so* much better it's worth 4x the price.

Je suis très satisfaite de cette housse de protection. Premièrement, elle est très belle, ce qui donne un beau coup d’oeil sur ma camionnette. Facile a installer et robuste . Convient a mes besoin et totalement satisfaite ! Je recommande

Perfect fit, looks great! It stays down tight to the truck at highway speed, I've been through a high pressure car wash several times without as much as a drop. Watch for the tiny allen-screws on the braces, the instructions don't mention them but you will have to back them off a bit before they will fit into you bed rails. The bag it comes with to hold it is a bit chintzy, but it keeps the dust off of it when it is off the truck. Installs and comes off in minutes (one minute when you get the hang of it). Great tonneau!

Me encantó esta cubierta. La he utilizado en varios "road trips" largos. Me ha llovido y nevado en el camino y no entra la lluvia a la caja. También ha resistido las altas velocidades. Muy recomendable.

Easy to install, fast delivery (ahead by a week) price unmatched I was skeptical given the price but have to agree with other buyers, this is a great product. I especially like the safety anchors that other brands don’t have, a deciding factor for me. So far, so good. We are heading into winter, the primary reason for purchasing, so will see how it holds up. But from what I see so far, have no issues with giving this product 5 stars!
