Wow, this is one PERFECT pudding!!!
I spent my honeymoon in Ireland and what a truly magnificent country! Everything...even down to the food was superb. One morning, sitting down at our bed & breakfast, I was asked if I would like a traditional Irish breakfast. Yes, please and thank you! Everything was pretty standard (eggs, toast, ham, potatoes, etc) with exception to this little blackish patty that appeared to be sausage (?). My wife knowing how fussy I am with food did not tell me otherwise (it would later come out that she knew what I was eating but didn't say). One bite and my eyes lit up. "Wow..this is delicious...what is this?" Black pudding was the answer. The remainder of my mornings, in the consecutive bed and breakfasts, involved getting that black pudding. I was like that dog that comes running every time the snack bag is shook. Life was good. After arriving back to the States, I missed and longed for that deliciousness. No one sells this here...I looked. Finally, I found Donelly's black pudding and I thank you for it!!! It is just what I remember. Taste is so very close to authentic Irish black pudding. It arrived quickly and was very well packaged (still semi-frozen). Although I haven't tried the white pudding yet, the black pudding is gone. Consumed. Devoured. Vanished. It disappeared faster than a pizza at a Weight Watchers convention. It was lovely. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to try something "different" but delicious. Friends and family not knowing what they were eating raved about the incredible flavor. It doesn't get better than that. Donnelly's sells a superb product here and I, for one, will be a lifelong fan.

Delicious and quality
I order pudding and sausages from here once or twice a year, always delicious. The best you can get for the price in parts of the US where fresh Irish food can’t be purchased. The quantitative is massive and lasts in the freezer. The packaging is top notch, always comes still frozen and cooks up nicely. The texture of the sausages is consistent with my favorite brands in Ireland. The puddings are delish as well and don’t get crumbly when cooked. Transports you back with a good cuppa, a boiled egg and some brown bread! Definitely satisfies the craving.

Delicious Divine Even. Begorrah (whatever that means.)
I have had plenty of black pudding and blood sausage, which can vary from great to "meh." When my parcel containing my mixed lot of 6 black and 6 white puddings, I decided to test the white pudding first. I haven't had a good white pudding since I was on tour in Newfoundland. I sliced a half-dozen 1/2" inch slices, and dropped them into a skillet for about four minutes a side. They rapidly developed a nice, tempting looking crust, and the smell was very nice. The taste? I can only say "wow." Delicate and nicely peppery, but without too much bite. The crust was delightfully crunchy, and the mouth feel was nicely firm and meaty. Unlike some white puddings that are basically oats stuck together with pork fat, these list pork as the first ingredient. The black pudding is equally tasty. Unless you are ordering strictly for yourself, it makes sense to order both the white and black puddings together. Some people won't eat black pudding no matter what, but would probably have no problems with the white. It's wonderful stuff. Can't wait to whip a full breakfast with it.

It was quite good.
It was very tasty. I've never had Irish marag-dhubh or marag-gheal before. I've only had scottish from a local bakery. It was a little processed tasting compared to the local stuff.

A bit of Ireland in the heart of Wisconsin
We eat pork products for breakfast (lunch and dinner!) here in Wisconsin and often enjoy turning our local meats and veg into breakfast fare from around the world. But I just couldn't replicate the black & white sausage required for a "full" breakfast until I discovered Donnelly's. Paired with our own local bacon and ham, potatoes, peppers, and grilled tomatoes, Donnelly's Black and White sausage adds an authentic peak to the meal. Their thickness and packaging were perfect for cutting one inch disks which fried up crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Great spice/herb combination, texture, and uniformity. We will be returning for more once we finish our 10 remaining tubes of delight (they look awesome in the freezer lined up!)

Definitely Not Scottish, But That's OK (Coz It's Irish)
I was hoping for something that tasted closer to Scottish puddings. However, both of these were delicious and I'll order again. Black pudding is fairly close but a bit more meaty. White pudding is more like a loose English breakfast sausage - way more meat that the Scottish WP (which has no meat at all), but still very tasty and a great breakfast treat.
