Coping Skills: Tools & Techniques for Every Stressful Situation (5 Minute Therapy) Review: I love Dr. Harper - She hasn't written a book yet that I didn't like. Initially it is a quick read but it's a book you can refer back to often. She puts everything in layman's terms and she writes just like a friend sitting at brunch and actually spilling some great tea- except the tea is not gossip, the tea is useful and improves my well-being. I'd recommend any of her books that I've read (and I've read several). Review: THIS IS A NEEDED BOOK FOR ALL - I have read this book twice and I will read it again y'all! I am using the technique in the book that damn sho works. I am sharing the technique with others as well. Thank you Faith!

Great for BPD
My relationships have been on the rocks, especially given that I do struggle with BPD, and I can't stand sitting at a therapists office because I don't feel heard. This book was perfectly on my level, easy to understand, and gave so many examples of real-life applications that I really can't wait to apply the new knowledge. 10/10 recommend

Quick read w/ lots of helpful info! Highly recommended!!
I checked this out as an ebook from my county’s library, using the Libby app. I would totally recommend it to friends & family - in fact I’m planning to recommend it to several people already! I could see how owning it would be good, so U can refer to it (there’s so much packed in there, if might be helpful to be able to have it on hand as a reference- or to pass it on to the next person in your life who needs it!) Yes there are a few “bad” words. No, this did not bother me in the least. Took me about an hour and a half to read the whole thing. Some of the methods I was already familiar w/, many were new to me, all were helpful!

Not worth purchasing
May have been a good book if the “f” and “s” words were not used. The f word is how most of us come into this world. It’s called “reproduction”. The other word is how humans eliminate waste from their bodies. Why turn these functions into something else? A cheap way to get attention. And this author is a therapist? It was a mistake to buy this book. What a waste.

A very short book with more profanity than advice
This book put me off real quick with its copious use of curse words. Not literarily thin- skinned, it bothered me enough to count, and behold: there are 69 occurrences of the s-word, 53 of the f-word, and many milder ones that Amazon nevertheless won't let me say (I tried, and had my review flagged. Funny). But I wanted to give this an honest and unbiased try, so I went ahead and edited the profanities out, ending up with a much more palatable booklet. I say booklet because the content barely spans 70 very small (think Kindle) pages - apparently it was written as a "zine" first. It's also not clear for whom this was written - I was looking for ways to cope with work stress, but found this booklet is all over the place. That may not be a bad thing per se, but together with its shortness, there is barely any space to go into any depth. For example, there is one chapter that lists 25 ways to cope, with just a sentence or two of explanation. Things like: Chew gum. Cry. Take a bath. Drink water. Strike a pose. Try a Tibetan singing bowl. And I feel like I gave away half the book now, it's just so .. thin.

This is a real self help book, it actually helps. Written in accessible narrative, the information is offered in a no nonsense compassionate style. It's very relatable.

Anything from this author ... Faith Harper is worth it. She is an awesome author and holds ur attention on subjects that would be usually boring. Warning there is expletive language.
