Functionality is great ! Replaces the charging port. Comes with lots of cords but the only one needed is the small jack for earphones. I didnt get any static with my pair the sound quality is nice ! Only con is you cannot charge and use the earphones at the same time. Gba sp should've came with a headphone jack Nintendo !

I only bought this for the headphone wire and didn't try out the other two cables but so far it works great. The first time you insert a pair of headphones into the jack it feels a bit tight and you may have to use a little excess force. But after that the headphones go in and out nicely. The sound is good as well. I didn't notice any crackling, distortion, or feedback while I was using it. With that said I'm sure the other two wires work just fine. I just don't have a use for them at the moment.

I tested all 3 cables and they all appear to function as described, including trading two Pokémon back and forth between a GBA and a GBA SP. If you plan on using the GBA SP headphone adapter a lot; like the original GBA, the GBA SP does not have perfectly "clean" audio. Mileage may vary from unit to unit, but mine has a very slight hum but it's very easy to ignore while there is game audio playing. (Considering my GBA SP is a water-damaged unit I "rescued" and outfitted with a new IPS display, I guess I'm surprised it isn't worse!) Referencing some of the other reviews I saw on this product before ordering: I did not experience any need to file off the metal bumps that help the cables stay in the ports; they are a little stiff to insert, but certainly not so much that I thought I was going to break anything. I imagine this would be particularly desirable for the link cable if you and a friend still frequently play GBA link games together. After repeated use the stiffness might "break in" making them easier to use, but you certainly would not want the opposite extreme and have them falling out on their own!

Cable was very difficult to remove the first time I used it. Super tight fit. I filed the little metal bumps off it. Now it works perfect. Bad design, but it does work.

I bought this because I wanted the headphone jack and already plugging it in, it had problems. First, it's tight like it has some grip of death on the connectors of the GBA. It felt like it would damage my GBA connectors just plugging it in. Tried taking it out and bam, it's no longer works. I've seen people file the metal studs on the sides so maybe that was my bad but this was straight terrible. Buy at your own risk.

Great for the price. All the accessories for the price of a charging cable, except it comes with it. Great bundle and one of the most great for value purchases I have made.

Update: Got it replaced about a week ago now, and it's worked great since, which tells me it was likely just a short in that specific item. Works perfectly and helps bring a new experience to some of the games I grew up with! Got a solid hour use out of it, and during that hour it was really good. After that I left it alone for a while to charge and when I came back to it a couple hours later, suddenly only one ear was receiving audio, and the problem has persisted for 24 hours now. Have tried multiple SPs and multiple pairs of earphones to no avail.

The link cable worked the first 2 times but always got stuck on one end. Tried taking it out the usual way, hand slipped, and the wire easily disconnected. Also the gameboy to aux had too much static, so i also ordered a separate one. The definition of a 2 star product.

Muy buen pack para poder volver a darle uso a la GBA SP, el cable de carga y el Game Link (creo que se llamaba) son bastante largos. El otro pequeño adaptador te permite conectar unos auriculares a la consola, la GBA original si tenía puerto de jack pero la SP no lo incluye y con este pequeño cable tienes la solución. Si veis que el sonido solo se escucha por un lado es porque tenéis que configurar el juego para que se escuche en estereo, la consola solo tiene un altavoz y la mayoría de los juegos vienen configurados en mono por defecto. Los 3 cables parecen de muy buena calidad, eso si, el Game Link cuesta un poco encajarlo y desencajarlo en las consolas.

All three items are worth it. But I bought it specially for the headphone jack as I want to enjoy classic gaming on the go. The USB charger can be used with any power bank and is super useful. Finally, link cable allows for multiplayer and is compatible on both the SP, GBA original and the Game Boy Player for the Nintendo Gamecube!
