Great fun for Tabletop Games / RPGs
Perfect as tokens or currency for any game, with a generous helping for those wishing to outfit more crowded gaming tables. Good quality and unit-to-cost ratio.* These coins are about the size of a US quarter, only slightly thinner, and about half as heavy; but are still quite solid, unlikely to bend, and have a nice heft to them. Pleasant to handle. They come in equal portions of 50 gold and 50 silver, each portion having 25 “shiny” and 25 “tarnished” coins, resulting in a mix of new and old. Attractive to the eye. Additional thoughts and points of interest: -Great for people who don’t want to settle for cheap plastic coins. -The irregular shape and design gives them a nice “Fantasy / Historical” feel. -They are cast from molds rather than handwrought (which would be slow and prohibitively expensive), so the coins are identical to each other, which might put off some potential buyers. Personally, I say: ”Yay, for technological progress!” -Useful to simulate one or more coin currencies in your games. The resourceful D&D player might use the tarnished coins in place of Copper Pieces. -For those apprehensive of the “tarnished” coins, do not fret: The finish, likely achieved through an acid bath, means the “tarnished” coins are not grimy or dirty; and the texture, while slightly rougher than that of the “shiny” coins, does not feel rusty or flaky at all. When examined in person, even the tarnished coins are quite attractive in their own right. -Yes, they are in fact metal. They don’t appear to be ferromagnetic (I tested, but with a pretty weak magnet). -I have heard that similar products in the market have an unattractive greenish-yellow color that looks “fake,” or that they (other coins, from other manufacturers) discolor if left in the sun. But the “shiny” coins from this manufacturer are of a realistic color comparable to authentic coin currencies, and I have not personally observed any discoloration (though I have not been abusive in my testing). -Every LARPer should have a leather drawstring bag full of these. *At the time of writing these coins were the best priced among their competitors if you are looking to buy in bulk, with the “Lot of 200” from the same manufacturers being the most cost effective.

Nice generic coins that can fit any RPG or Board Game. ;) There are 4 colors, not 3; 25% of each! Look carefully.
I use these as DnD coins or for board game money (DnD ToA). The best part is it doesn't look like a biased type of coin, just a generically pressed gold piece, unless you can't erase the whole "pirate" theme doubloons come with. I also like how they look uneven. Clean-cut coins turn me off because some games run in olden fantasy times, where currency was based on weighted metals. :) Authentic feel. Great quality. Made of metal. Authentic feel. Perfect ratios. These all come from one mold, but not too noticeable unless you stack them perfectly together. The 200 pack isn't really a lot. My image shows only 1/5 of my standard sized third-die dice bag (celtic medal). So, if you plan to fill a bag, it may take a bit. XD Unlike some reviews, I received a complete and correct 25% of all 4 types in my 200 piece collection. The doubloons were separated into 2 ziplocks of 100 pieces of 25 shiny gold, 25 shiny silver, 25 aged gold, 25 aged silver all in one big ziplock. The gold and silver are wonderfully sparkly (almost too obviously fake, but I digress!). The aged/tarnished ones are actually made up of 2 base colors. Most people have received (or perceived) only 3 colors, but mine came in 4: shiny gold, shiny silver and their aged tarnished versions (dark coins). So, perhaps those with more aged coins than gold and silver might have overlooked the fact that there are 2 aged colors for a total of 25% of each color (shiny gold and silver, and tarnished gold and silver). Although, that doesn't explain the fact that some of them received less than their complete count.

Great quality, have purchased multiple times
Wonderful quality. They have a solid weight and a consistent shape. The amount I got was actually slightly over what I was promised which was kind of nice. The coins are real metal and feel like it too! They are decently shiny as well, they're not too expensive, ESPECIALLY for the quality, they're GREAT for gifts for roleplayers, collectors, or kids as well. I personally keep them in a chest with my dice as a kind of treasure chest. They're super fun to play with and you should see my player's faces when they get handed REAL METAL coins as a treasure reward.. and when they have to give them back in order to buy things!

Pleased with product but with some disappointment
It is a smaller amount and size than I hoped for, but after reading the reviews, I was prepared and ordered anyway. Could it have been better? Yes. But I was still pleased with the product and it worked great for the Living History program I was doing. They blended in well with the few real ones I have, and no one questioned them. If you know the strengths and weaknesses of the coins going in to it, you should have no problem making a decision you are happy with.

It looks so real! I got them as an inside joke gift for my husband, and he loved them! So whether you're buying for an adult or a kid, it will be a hit!

Definitivamente valen la pena, en mi caso las usé para reemplazar monedas de juegos de mesa de tema de piratas.. De lo mejor!

Great for boardgames but rusts over time.
