Worked perfectly to replace cable that went bad
Perfect cable, have a set of Yamaha 2.1 speakers with 8-din cable that is 10+ years old where the right speaker stopped producing sound. Assumed it might be a cable issue but no way to know for sure so replaced the cable with this one and now it works perfectly again. Seems like solid construction, similar to original OEM cable. Appreciate the seller including "Yamaha" in the product description because other cables seemed like they may have worked but didn't state this so I decided to go with this one and couldn't be happier.

Worked perfectly!
This was a replacement cable for the Yamaha Tyros 1 audio cable that connects the keyboard to the subwoofer (and right audio channel). The other part of this 2 cable pair (a male phono plug to a male 1/4 inch phone plug which connects the left audio channel to the subwoofer) was fine and I just removed the electrical tape and retaped it to this new cable. Worked perfectly!

Works for Yaesu FT857/897 CAT/Linear connector
This cable will plug into the CAT/Linear receptacle of a Yaesu FT857/897 ham transceiver. You will likely need to trim the plastic outer portion of the plug slightly using a small knife. Not the fault of the cable; the Yaesu receptacle is deeply recessed. I can confirm pin to pin continuity on all 8 pins. I cut the cable in half and now have two 3ft interface cables for my transverters for T/R control. This is much easier than trying to buy just the DIN connectors and soldering your own cable to the tiny pins.

This is a straight through cable.
If you are looking for a straight through cable then this is what you want. I was looking for something a little different so I cut it in half and rewired it for my needs. With my modification, it works like a charm for my application. It would be nice if cable sellers would describe better the pinouts of the cable.

Good replacement for Yaesu cables
I bought this cable to interface a Yaesu FC-30 autotuner to Yaesu FT-897D. I had to trim the bulky rubber/plastic around the metal plug to get it to plug in but the cable works perfectly and I'm able to use it to tune band edges on HF.

i bought this one to cut in half and hardwire to existing wire. it was easy and overall quality of wire is good
