Smokie the Black Bear

So much cuter in person. Great size, great quality and details. Very soft. Perfect for all ages!! I love it. I want to order each of my Kids one so when we go to great wolf lodge it will be the perfect gift at a great price.

I love this bear! He's exactly what I was looking for. If you're interested, I'd go ahead and get him. He looks exactly like the pictures. :) I'm normally not into teddy bears, more so other plush animals, but I was debating getting the Black Bear Squishable because he's really adorable. I liked the more realistic snout and sweet smile but the big Squishables are a bit expensive and take up a lot of room, so I decided to look at some other options on Amazon. There were several more realistic bears, on all fours and such, but I liked that Scout has a more teddy bear body while still having that cute little snout. As others have said, Scout can do a headstand (as long as his back is supported by something like a chair.) His head is flatter on top and sticks out more in the back, closer to how an actual bear's would, more wedge-shaped, which I thought looked funny at first but it's become more unique and endearing than the squashed heads of other bears. He also has that wonderful smile and gorgeous brown eyes. Scout's fur is soft without being super soft but it's not a detraction (I think I like him better than my Snuffles, who is a bit too warm outside of winter.) His feet, front paws/hands, and bottom are all weighted with little beads. Initially, I didn't think this would matter much but I keep going back to him because he's just heavy enough to feel perfect in my arms. He feels substantial and floppy at the same time. The shiny bow around his neck is the perfect touch (I actually worry I'll mess it up while hugging him, but so far it hasn't come undone and I haven't needed to spruce up the loops.) He'd make a great gift! :)

Purchased this as a gift for a young girl who loves bears. She fell in love with it immediately! She especially liked the weighted paws. She sleeps with it and takes it everywhere she goes.

I ordered this bear thinking it would be the perfect little companion gift, but wow, was I surprised when it arrived—it’s really tiny! Definitely a bit smaller than I expected, so note to self: always double-check those descriptions! At just 7 inches, it’s more of a pocket-sized bear than a cuddle buddy. That said, it’s still undeniably cute. The quality is nice, and it has such an adorable little face that it’s hard not to smile when you look at it. It’s soft and well-made, just… tiny. I think it could be perfect as a small gift add-on, decoration, or even as a travel-sized comfort plush, but if you’re looking for a regular-sized stuffed animal, this might not be it. Overall, I’d say it’s worth it if you’re okay with the mini size. Just don’t expect a full-sized teddy, and you won’t be disappointed.

My nephew turned 8 and this was a gift for him. I looked all over trying to find a good stuffed bear for him. I am very happy to have found this. The fur feels very soft and snuggly. It is also good quality. I was concerned after reading several reviews of other stuffed bears of the fur falling out, or not holding up. That was not an issue at all with this Berington Asher Plush Black Bear. The size was also the right size, since I was flying to visit them and needed it to fit in my carry-on.
