I purchased this rack to support a multi-room home network setup, and it exceeded expectations. The build is solid, with good ventilation and secure mounting points. Installation was straightforward, and the depth is perfect for housing a patch panel, switch, and cable management tray. It fits neatly in a utility space without dominating the room. Great value for the price.

Pretty easy to assemble and just about sturdy enough for my needs. I'm using it to house a 3D printer. It does seem very flimsy compared to every other wall cabinet I've ever used for housing network equipment or servers. For the price though, don't think you'd find better!

First I need to point out that there are far more expensive cabinets on the market and the low cost of this particular cabinet needs to be considered when reviewing it! Also although I was using this in a home environment, hence not wanting to pay professional cabinet prices, I was installing equipment more commonly found in commercial I.T. installations including 2 managed POE switches which are reasonably heavy compared to simple unmanaged switches that would normally be used in a home or small business network. The pros: Cheap. Well packed and delivered quickly. Easy to assemble, especially if you have a power screwdriver. Comes with 10 rack cage nuts & screws - a nice bonus - most items of equipment need 4 screws each, but hey - 10 allows me to lose 2 and still mount 2 items. Panel edges are reasonably smooth - I spent quite some time leaning into this cabinet while it was on the wall to terminate cables and didn't get any cuts. The cons: A bit flimsy, I assume most of these will be wall mounted and the problem is that you are wary of applying too much torque to the screws in case you strip the holes but they need to be REALLY TIGHT in order for the panels not to move relative to each other and the cabinet not to sag when you load it with equipment. Othwrwise it goes out of square and the side doors cannot be easily removed or replaced due to the holes no longer being rectangular. The worst issue is the metal thickness of the rack mounting strips - if you install something such as a managed POE switch the rails really flex and the switch is nowhere near level. I doubt the strips will fail; the tilted switch just looks cosmetically poor. However 4 rails are supplied and since I was not mounting anything from the rear (the cabinet being wall-mounted) I used the spare rear strips to overlay the front ones to double-up on thickness, this solved the problem. Although the front door locks, the side panels do not - this is not unique to this cabinet and if I wanted a truly tamperproof cabinet I would need to pay a lot more money. Cable access: The partly pre-punched knock-outs in the top and bottom panels are quite a distance from the rear of the cabinet and if using wall mounted trunking for the cables the knock outs will not overlay the trunking; making neat cabling more difficult, it would have been better with the knockouts close to the rear. BUT! taking the price into account it still represents reasonable value. Steve.

It looks nice and the design is quite good but I can only give 3 stars as the internal brackets to mount equipment to are not think enough and bend under the weight of a switch so the rear droops. I was going to install a NAS but was uncomfortable with this so ended up adding shelving.

My 4u cabinet has served me well over the years and due to upgrading my equipment needed something bigger. So started to look for a suitable 12u cabinet to fit under or next to my desk. Cost was an important factor and as this was self assemble, saved a few quid. I was surprised at how small the box was when it was delivered, but the contents was as expected. I have read other reviews about missing screws and actually thought I was going to suffer the same fate, but quickly found the other bag in the box and set about building. I had already thought about pop riveting 16 of the fixings had this been the case. Most of the parts are wrapped in cling film but in all the finish of the metal parts is what I would expect from pre built cabinets. Even included cage nut and bolts, which I have used to mount two brackets to provide extra support to the 1u shelf purchased separately which will hold an HP Gen8 Microserver and Jetway JBC365 which runs Untangle. Instructions are very easy to follow, cabinet was built in about 15 minutes with a manual screwdriver. The removable side panels and door fitted nicely and there is ample room inside to mount a 6 way PDU in the rear. I am also going to make use of the 120mm fan cutout, though looking for a silent USB powered fan. Cable entry will either be via the bottom by raising the cabinet from the floor, or not using the rear panel. I just need a suitable amount of downtime to complete the installation.

The cabinet came flat packed as expected. It was dented in several places on opening but I needed to get it installed and running for our CCTV so didn't bother sending it back. It was fairly straight forward to build. The quality was horrifically poor, the metal rack is far too thin and I quickly realised as I was installing the switches that the rail was just bending and warping and the switches were beginning to sag backwards. It couldn't bear the weight. I used some long bolts to support the rear of each of the switches. The pop outs for the cables weren't cut properly so we really struggled to get these out cleanly. The whole rack flexed from side to side, even when fully constructed. All in all, cheap. But if you're looking for something even a tiny bit quality, this isn't for you.

For 65 pounds, this is a great cabinet. The instructions certainly could have been clearer, and one of the mounting brackets were slightly bent, though neither of these would be too big of an issue for anyone who has bought something in need of assembly from amazon before. Once you figure out which parts are which, assembly is easy. The lock creates a tight hold, and fitting the door panel in general is simple enough , thanks to the springloaded hinges which you can release from the inside of the panel. There are also two removable plates on the top and bottom to allow for cables. Would buy again.

From the pictures this looked like a good cabinet. Unfortunately in reality the cabinet is made from very thin metal. The side panels, in particular, are so thin they don't fit well into the cabinet. The rails used to support your routers etc are just far too thin. I fitted a Ubiquiti rack-mounted router into the cabinet and it just sags about 1cm at the back because the rails just flex. So I ended up adding a block of wood at the back to support the router. The quality of the cabinet is just not good enough for its intended purpose particularly when you are paying £100 for what is essentially just a few sheets of pressed metal. A purchase I now really regret...
