The book is written for an academic audience. It is quite a lot to follow, but does a fair job at explaining public policy implementation.

just what I needed

I bought this for the class I’m taking this semester back in January, but we didn’t start reading it until March. I’m gentle with all my textbooks because I always hope to sell them when I’m done with the class, and yet 50+ pages came detached from the binding and completely fell out of the book.

Good

I really did not enjoy this book. Despite my professor singing its praises, I found it difficult to read at times and the examples were boring and overused. Some chapters seemed much easier to read than others, which I'm guessing is because there were two authors and maybe one writes a little better than the other. There are some approaches covered that might be unique and helpful to the field, but I wish it were executed better.
