ASUS VT229H 21.5" Monitor 1080P IPS 10-Point Touch Eye Care with HDMI VGA, Black

This Asus 21.5" touchscreen does everything they say it does. It's exactly as described. I've been using it for about a week now, it is plug n play and intuitive to use. With windows 11 it makes your monitor into a big tablet. The screen is hard, clear and reflective so I put a matte screen protector on it. Needed a new touchscreen option for my clinic. We were using a mobile desktop/tablet option, and it worked but it was time to upgrade. Saw this monitor and wanted to find the best price and quality, this one checks all of the boxes. Very easy to install, and touchscreen works great! Would love to get a larger monitor size in the future, but this works for now.

The image quality on this screen looks great! However, the touch screen feature did have a hiccup that almost caused me to return the unit. The touch screen interactions are interpreted as if you are touching the PRIMARY display, even if this screen is not setup as the primary display. I connected this to a computer with 2 other screens already attached, all touch interaction were interpreted as if they were occurring on a completely different screen. I resolved the issue by changing this to the primary display, then it worked beautifully. So be aware, if you can't set this screen as the primary display, the touch screen functionality is useless.

Unfortunately the first one of these I ordered got lost in shipping. But Amazon, as usual, made good on it and refunded the price. So I ordered a second. Arrived in 2 days that time. Go figure. The monitor is extremely light, which I liked. Easy to work with. Plug and play on a laptop. Touchscreen is very responsive and I use it for digital musical instruments and a DAW so I can adjust knobs and sliders and switches. One fear I had was the touchscreen made noise out my audio amplifiers (I assume the capacitive reaction to the touch function). I was able to cure it by lifting the power plug ground with an adapter. That solved the noise problem. If it didn't solve the problem, unfortunately, I would have had to return it.

After a couple months working from home, I really needed a 2nd monitor to help with my developer work. Also, one of my laptops that's supposed to also to a tablet had a touchscreen that wasn't working. This monitor arrived fast and fulfilled the need of another monitor & the want of touch screen functionality. I was concerned with whether it would work with both my windows AND mac laptops, but luckily touch screen does indeed work for both. For mac, I have to actually be on that screen for the touch to work, but that's very small thing that doesn't bother me. The only complaint I have is that the area for actually plugging in power, hdmi, etc is a lil tight, so it feels like u can be kinda bending cords a lil more than they should be. Compared to price of other monitors (especially touch screen). One thing to consider is that this doesn't twist vertical out the box (at least not that i can tell). Otherwise, this was solid purchase for me.

The upgraded version of this Asus touch monitor is perfect for my production and streaming needs. Why buy a Streamdeck when I can have a whole monitor for touch input? The picture quality is great and the color calibration was on point straight out of the box. Pros- - Asus quality monitor, no cracks or dead pixels and comes with a 3 year warranty. - Colors calibration is great out of box. - Great viewing angles. - Paralax is hardly noticable. - Solid build quality, no creaks when you adjust it and doesn't have any flex. Cons- -The cables were all 3ft long and impossible to mount on a monitor arm. I had to purchase all new 10ft cables for my set up. - The monitor panel is glass and has no anti-fingerprint treatment, so getting really precise swipes can sometimes be troublesome. - Onboard speakers are very quiet, even at max volume. - No Displayport. I'd buy this monitor again!

This seller was awesome I ordered two ASUS touchscreen monitors and they arrived before the expected delivery date! The setup was easy and all the cables were included. The picture quality and brightness is super. I would highly recommend this seller and I would purchase from him again!

This new March 2020 revision is not an 1920x1080 panel it tests more like a 720p panel upscaled by the controler...the image quality is crap at 1920x1080 the icons on my desktop look like pixel art from the 8bit computer era and I'm coming from a $75 element 1920x1080 panel from walmart and that thing outshines this panel all day long...it seems to me that asus in an attempt to cuz costs have went with a much cheaper tn panel and just slapped a cheap projected USB powered touch matrix on top(this thing is so cheap the touch matrix works without the monitor being powered up so it's not even integrated properly) for this price I just bought a portable monitor from some no name company from china threw alliexpress and that this has better pixel clarity than this and all the OSD menus arnt locked out just because you go over 65% brightness...ya I just recived this today and within 1 hour of testing I'm already satisfied with my deduction to return it and that was befor it developed a glaringly obvious backlight flicker at just about 35hz making it the only thing noticable when looking at it other than the retro pixelation affect of this cheap and low cost implematation of "1080" ... not happy here...I do NOT recommend this product for the price they are asking considering there are much cheaper options that will be true 1920x1080 with active capacitive touch...

This review is for: ASUS VT229H 21.5" LCD Touchscreen Monitor - 16:9 - 5 ms GTG This is a good monitor suitable for a POS system. - The touch is sensitive - No set-up was required with our software - You need to attach the USB cable from monitor to PC as that is what communicates the 'touch' to the PC - The screen seems reasonably durable - While VESA mounting is optional, the monitor has enough weight and a grippy base to be satisfactory for use in a POS environment Misses? If you are using a smaller screen for POS, you'll find moving to a 21" screen requires quite a noticeable change in arm movement. Regardless, 1080p resolution is pretty standard for many software so this fit that requirement for my needs. Good monitor. Worth considering. Recommended without reservation.

I purchased this monitor, after seeing all of the five star reviews and I understand why. The touch screen is perfect, the image quality is beautiful and the cable management design was well thought out. I really don't want to take the protective film, I'm that proud of it. This works very well over a 50' HDMI cable and a 50' USB extension cable with no issues! Auto power off (with no signal) and powers up instantly! The only down side is that it doesn't have a USB pass-through, so you can't connect a USB mouse or keyboard to it. But over all, three thumbs up!
