I bought this because my riding lawn mower just quit on me and wouldn't start back up so I think it had trash in it and I tried to take the carburetor off and take the bowl off and clean it but I couldn't get the bowl off and I had spark I had fresh gas I had compression so I knew it was pretty much trash in the gas but I couldn't get to it. These carburetors are cheap enough that it's easier to just go ahead and buy one and put it on there you will be shocked how good these carburetors are even if you have to put one on every other year. Simple to put on just take pictures of your linkages so you remember exactly which way they go don't think oh I can remember that because I promise you you probably will not remember it by the time you get back around to it. Pictures are worth a million when you're trying to repair something like this. No I'm not a mechanic but I'm not afraid to try to and I got to run in and cut grass so works for me. I put it on first crank it got gas up to the carburetor second time it started right up and runs real smooth no adjustments necessary don't waste your time people just buy one I promise you you will not regret it.

This carburetor is exactly the same as the one that came on my 2009 Troybilt Pony . My Pony had been refusing to start , so after trying everything I knew I figured it had to be a bad carburetor . After installing the carburetor my Pony cranked in the blink of an eye . It now runs as good as it did when it was new . I didn't have to do any kind of adjustments . It works great ! UPDATE : The carburetor worked great the first time I cranked my mower and cut grass . A few weeks later when I went to mow again , I filled the gas tank and gas was leaking everywhere . I thought the problem was something else , but after losing close to $15 worth of gas and close to that much to drain and refill the oil , I sadly discovered the problem was the new carburetor . It seems the float is stuck and just won't unstick . If it wasn't for that , this would have been a great product . I sadly now can't recommend this carburetor .

I didn’t ask for a replacement, but I’m sure they would’ve sent me one at no charge but I didn’t wanna take that chance with the luck of only spending $17 on a carburetor. I originally gave it a five star because I was so impressed how it ran. The second time it ran stuttered a little bit. Third time it ran was back to what it was doing before not running good. Decided to put down the hundred dollars and get the factory one have used that twice and everything runs like it did when it was brand new.

Cleaned mating surfaces really well before installation. Made riding mower run again. Made me not have to walk behind push mower. Very happy. Its too hot and I'm too old to push a mower.
