Why have I never known about how great Village Candles are!!! I ordered the Balsam Fir and it’s fantastic! The clean burning and the scent throw is better than other brands I’ve tried. I love it made in Maine. I’ll definitely order more in the future.

Our family loves this scented candle. We find that this large tumbler jar burns more evenly than the wide, squat jars. I wanted to send one to my son who is skiing in NSW, Australia for their winter season, but since it is Summer here in North America, I couldn't find them in our grocery store, and even the Village Candle website did not have them in stock. :( Amazon to the rescue, haha! He received his candle in about 8 days (wicked fast, I must say!) His UK, Swiss, Australian and Japanese roommates are now new fans of the scent, and his Canadian roommates feel right at home. He didn't know that this tree/scent is rare outside the northeast in North America. I think Village Candle generally makes a superior scented candle to the other popular one from New England. That company has gone downhill and uses too-small wicks in their jars, and much is wasted. Village Candle has, so far in the past 4 years since we've purchased them, been a much better value and their scents are far more "natural" and not cloying or fake.

Quick delivery, packaged well, great scent

The same great scent as the jar but the scent does not flow as well as the jar. I think the shape of thos container keeps the scent inside vs flowing out into the room. Will definitely buy the jar next time.

Smells like Christmas

THIS IS IT!!!! I've been looking for a Balsam Fir Christmas Candle.. This Candle smells like a fresh cut tree. Buy with confidence 🎄

Great smell

I have purchased this candle in the past and it was great. This candle has no smell or throw at all. Waste of money

When I received them, they were in a good condition but there was a green liquid came out from the lids, it seems that it was the fir 🌲’s essence (smells like one) and when I opened the lids, they smell nice like fir. They reminded me of my Yankee Candle’s smell when I opened it the first time. I am yet to try to lid them up and smell them.

The scent smells like cheap pine air freshener. I burned the candle for 1.5hrs and everyone in the house commented they could barely smell it but when they got close it smelled cheap and weak. I could have spent the same amount of money on a gorgeous candle from Dusk that would have filled the room with a beautiful scent. Now I’m stuck with this expensive candle that people have actively asked me never to burn again.

The candle came damaged and they were't very flexible with returns, refunds or replacement.

IF you're hoping for robust smell this one isn't it.
