Reliable Comfort Where It Matters Most
When rides stretch into hours, bike shorts stop being apparel and start being equipment. These Baleaf men’s 3D padded cycling shorts deliver exactly what endurance riding demands: consistent comfort, practical design, and dependable performance. The padding strikes a smart balance—supportive without feeling bulky—and remains comfortable deep into longer rides. The fabric is breathable, moisture-wicking, and offers UPF 50+ sun protection, which is especially appreciated on exposed routes and summer training days. The shorts stay in place without pinching or riding up, even as fatigue sets in. The pockets are a useful addition, providing easy access to small essentials without interfering with pedaling. After repeated rides and washes, the material and stitching have held up well, maintaining both fit and function. Bottom line: These are well-designed, endurance-ready cycling shorts that prioritize comfort and practicality over flash. A solid choice for long road or MTB rides and a dependable addition to any training rotation. Highly recommended.

Midterm Review: Excellent Riding Shorts
I am 60 years old, 250 lbs, 6'4" and bought an XL. It fits well. I would buy the same size again. I wear Under Armour shorts underneath (Under Armour Men's Tech 6-inch Boxerjock) I have used the Baleaf shorts for the last two months, for rides ranging 30-40 miles and 2'00" to 2'40" per ride, three times per week, in spring and summer weather. The shorts were comfortable. They neither ride down in back or ride up on the legs. They breathe well and wick away moisture. The padding kept me comfortable even over long distances and very comfortable in the crotch. The front pockets are great, easy to access while riding but holding their contents firmly. The padding tended to get stuck on the seat pommel discounting and sometimes mounting, requiring a 'double clutch' movement to free the shorts from the seat. Not a big problem. The shorts go into the washing machine frequently (hot wash temp), and they are holding up just fine. Having now worn these shorts many times in a variety of weather conditions and over long distances, I am very happy with the product and recommend it unconditionally. Good value for the money. I will buy another pair soon.

Good value
This is a good short, for the money. It fits true to size and is quite comfortable. The padding is a little thicker than I prefer, but I have already bought a second pair, and plan to buy more. I have used them on several rides of about forty miles in length, and they preformed fine So I would have no problem recommending them to others.

My favorite road shorts
Absolutely love these shorts. Fit very well, wick away lots of moisture, don’t loose their snugness, and the seat pad makes the ride really comfortable. I just wish they also made a red seamed version. I own about five pair of these and love them!

Best cycling shorts ever
The Baleaf shorts are the best bicycling shorts ever. I've been riding for 40 years. I used to buy only Pearl Izumi. I would spend hundreds of dollars a year for their shorts, bibs and jerseys. Expensive, but it was worth it--in the past. The most recent pair of Pearl Izumi Attack shorts I bought from Amazon had crummy grippers and a weak elastic waist. They bunched when I pulled them on. I immediately returned them and bought the Baleaf. Baleaf: Half the price and twice the quality--great fabric, quality materials, smooth fit, and pockets!! I'll never buy Pearl Izumi again--a formerly great brand. Must now be owned by private equity or something. Pearl Izumi lost a customer for life and Baleaf gained one. Highly recommended

Solid tights
Second pair of bike chamois. Entering road riding this year. First pair was a cheaper pair with one big solid pad, which went up the crotch too which was very uncomfortable for my goods. This pair is a softer pad, which doesn’t get in the way up front and has mutiple pieces/sections with different padding. So far have ridden an 18 and 21 mile ride on the with no issue. My bike is a CAAD4 cannondale R2000, on 23mm wheels so a harsher ride and my butt and body felt good after the rides, no soreness/pain or numbness. The pockets are nice to toss mg phone or keys when walking around before putting them in my saddlebag or clipping phone to bike mount. I ordered a size L and it fit well.

Good but basically see through.
These shorts are OK for indoor cycling and the like. The fit is decent, but maybe a little bit looser than other brands like primal or pearl. The chamois is comfortable. The material is pretty thin and it is reminiscent of late 90s or early 2000 bike shorts fabrics which makes sense of this price point. The only problem is there is something with the way they are cut that they are basically see-through in front and expose your junk. I’d say they’re great if you’re working out at home.

The inside of the short started making foam after only one time using it. Otherwise Nice pockets on the sides
