Great
We have a lot dogs that we care for. The means a lot of chewing items and enrichment needed. I prefer horns and hooves as chews for bang for your buck. These are a great buy compared to prices out there. The size is average, and as they're a natural product there is variation in color, shape, and size. The dogs enjoy them, and the hooves don't tend to break into slivers like horns sometimes do. They are hard, but each one will last just a couple days with a large-breed determined chewer. I should honestly just put these on repeat order cause they're a staple for our dogs now. We often get compliments from the vets about the dental health of our older dogs, and the only thing we have ever done is provide them free choice horns, hooves, and bones to chew on. We've never had dental issues with any of our many many dogs. These are a good size for all our dogs, from our 10lbs Maltese Mix all the way up to our 100lbs Pyrenese Mix.

Cow hoof is of the most reliable puppy anti-destruction toys
There was a diversity of sizes they were a little dry (winter humidity likely) when they arrived. That means potentially brittle. I always boil to hydrate or humidify them before I give them to the puppies so they're not brittle when they are received. These softened up real quick and became perfect no big chunks no diarrhea and while it's not my favorite flavor a puppy sure loves it. Great job. But buyer beware beef Hooves smell like cow feet and boiled cow feet smell stronger than dry ones. I'm perfectly satisfied but I accept it's not for everyone.

Great Durable Chew for Power Chewers
These hooves are great for heavy chewers! I’ve tried lots of other options like bully sticks and jerky, but my dogs either finish them in minutes or they get soggy and gross and lose their appeal. These last a long time and keep my pups interested. I also love that they’re easy to fill with peanut butter or yogurt for an extra treat during chew time. They’re durable, don’t break or splinter, and hold up really well. I’ll definitely keep buying these as long as they’re available!

Wonderful but smelly
My dogs love them so much. I would give them 5 stars but the stench they put off while the dogs are chewing is enough to gag a maggot. We have to confine them to their crates when they want to chew them or the whole house and furniture smell like poo.

Long lasting chews!
Cow hooves are long-lasting chews. They do break into pieces sometimes, but I’ve never had any issues with them causing internal problems for my dogs.

Paper thin hooves. Find heavier duty hooves and avoid the x-ray charges
If you have a small dog, these might work. If you have a larger dog with a strong jaw you should avoid these. It will be quite a bit cheaper to go to the store yourself, pick out the individual thick hooves and save on the veterinary visits, dog misery and x-rays. In the end, the responsibility is all mine for not watching more closely. Every few days, each dog would get a hoof to chew on. Historically, they would both gnaw, get bored, come back and gnaw a few days later. I would end up with a box full of partially destroyed hooves that my dogs would go back to occasionally. They would pick an old hoof that they had fond memories of and chew for an hour and back in the box it would go. I had noticed that this bag had lightweight hooves that seemed thin but I allowed myself to let it slide. When my fifty pound black mouth cur vomited one day a couple of weeks later, I noted several large pieces of undigested hoof so what remained in the bag got tossed. Unfortunately, my 70lb Staffordshire stopped eating a few days later, started walking around and moaning and vomited several times. Each time, large chunks of hoof came out. I hoped for the best as this happened on a Saturday night (as pet emergencies always do) but she didn't eat Sunday at all despite having thrown up what amounted to multiple hooves. Sunday night was more vomiting and more hooves and Monday morning she was all up for food for the first time in two days but I had x-rays done anyway. Whatever she had vomited up allowed for her to FEEL better but the x-rays showed a pile of hooves in her stomach. This then led to a new prescription food, small meals and weekly x-rays to make sure that things were okay. She has felt fine since but I have to keep my eye on her for months as these slowly get digested. Bottom line is that this is my fault for not keeping track of which hooves in the box were older hooves and for not being aware that these new hooves were being crunched up like biscuits and swallowed by BOTH dogs. I bought these because they were CHEAPER but in the end, both dogs felt horrible and the overall cost was far from cheap. This bag is full of 100% thin hooves, the ones that can't be sold individually because they won't hold up under the jaws of a big dog. I know you love your pup so look in a different direction for hooves

Durable like no other natural chew we've ever seen. Our dog loves them
No noticeable aroma, no greasy residue - so these hooves already come out of the bag miles ahead of pig ears. Lasts for weeks - our min-boxer normally destroys regular bully sticks and smaller rawhides in a matter of minutes; large rawhides maybe hang in there for a day. These hooves may not have any smell that the humans in this house can detect, but they have some magical love potion of a scent to our dog - he tosses them, smacks them around with his paws, and treats them like a favorite toy before settling down for a quiet gnaw session. Will definitely buy more - but not soon since they are so dang durable. The only downside - accidentally finding one with bare human feet. Ouch.
