"If you can think it, you can make it in FIMO! Imagine producing keychains, little boxes and baskets, hair clips, earrings, notebook covers, placemats, pendants, brooches, fantasy sculptures and, well, more! It's all within reach with FIMO special craft clay. A blend of art, quality and fun, as only Staedtler can make it. Enjoy hours of absorbing, artistic crafting play, without having to worry about hardening or breaking. FIMO stays soft and pliable no matter if you leave it out for days, or work it for hours. Then, finalize your art right in your home oven. (We recommend a dedicated countertop oven if you'll be doing a lot of crafting). Notes and suggestions: FIMO can be sanded and polished Already hardened FIMO elements can be baked multiple times for projects that require multiple hardening passes The hardened clay can be varnished with special FIMO paints or painted with suitable pens or acrylic and oil paints FIMO should only be washed by hand, not in dishwashers. Dishwashing detergent is too harsh and can harm the material. Holes for FIMO jewelry and beads can either be made with a needle before hardening or drilled with a hand drill after hardening. Broken FIMO parts can be easily attached again using super glue" Review: Great polymer clay for professional results - This is the very first kind of polymer clay i ever used and all i used until a couple years ago when i saw there were less expensive alternatives. It was 30 years ago that i began to use FIMO probably and it is still the best there is. That i know of lol. I like the cheaper ones for fun and for so many colors but there is a definite difference and not all polymers are the same. Like if you arent used to FIMO brand and you work with sculpey then you might have a hard time with the fact that it is much harder and it takes some work to get it workable. It is less prone to breakage in the finished piece and anyone who has a lot of experience in polymer clay really respects that and the effects are unbeatable. If you are getting clay for kids i highly recommend letting them practice with ther cheaper kits that come in alot of colors and the clay is soft. Its hard to get kids to understand that a little of this clay goes a long way and you have to just work around with it. Then later on introduce them to the $4 bars of FIMO. There is a strong difference in quality but one you can only appreciate with lots of use. I personaly like FIMO the best though sculpey is a close alternative. I love the different affects they offer as well. This is for sure fun for kids though and the creativity is endless for what they can do with it. Its a good one to test their imagination and see what they can dream up! Thats how i wound up with it as a kid and i completely LOVED it and still do. Review: Great brand - Good quality and fun to use, although I expected it to be a lot more translucent than it actually is. I made a 1:12 hanging light for my dollhouse with it

Beautiful from start to finish.
This is the best translucent polymer clay that I have worked with. It conditions easily and the finished products are beautiful. I will definitely buy again.

Horrible to work with
This was HORRIBLE clay to work with. It was hard like rock and even my not so young grandchildren couldn’t get it to do anything. I would have returned it but they wanted to take it home to see if the powder they mixed it with glowed in the dark. That didn’t work either. The whole project was a failure. I do not recommend this clay.

Quite like the Steadler Polymer clay as it is of qood quality. We have a decent selection of colours that is often used by our children, these days mostly for our daughter’s little earring workshop. This Fimo clay is interesting since while its seems white when unprocessed, it comes out of the oven in a translucent colour. Quite ideal for our daughter’s earring projects. The only thing is that we still have to find a way to proven the clay from drying out after a sustained period of opening the package.

Pour un rendu plus naturel des objets sculptés (par exemple les fruits et légumes pour les miniaturistes à l'échelle 1/12), c'est parfait en mélange avec les autres teintes.

It's OK but you don't get a lot. I find it quite tough to work with in comparison to others that don't take as long to loosen up. I have coloured versions of this brand and didn't have the same issue so not sure why it's the case with this translucent one.
