Introductory Econometrics for Finance

Wow, what a great book. It is accessible, but at the same time doesn't sacrifice too much rigor. For those interested in learning applied econometrics, this is an excellent books. Fingers crossed that more editions are on the way!

It was told GOOD condition but it is very bad quality. It is tear and wear.

There are some introductory econometric books which are as good as this book. However, if you want to apply econometric theory to real data (especilly financial ones), this is definitively the best book. The author made a wonderful job presenting several examples using Eviews software (which is probably the easiest econometric software to learn). The best part of this book is time series, which explains advanced concepts like Granger causality and Johansen test successfully using intuition without advanced matrix theory. Currently I'm reading "Multivariate Time Series Analysis: With R and Financial Applications" and read Brooks' book first was very helpful. I highly recommend this book for any student who want to learn bsic econometric theory and software application (something which is hard to find in just one book) I'd like the author wrote an advanced econometric book with the same approach.

I haven't finished reading the whole book but so far I've learned some basic concepts from those chapters I read. The explanation are step-by-step and easily understand.
