Skullcandy Icon Wireless On-Ear Headphone - Black

The Skullcandy Icon is very light weight and perfect for general use. What I mean by that is it has good sound quality for listening to news, radio talk shows or videos that don't need great sound quality. What I enjoy most is the "FLAT" (not cupped) foam on ear pads as it lets the ears breath better and I can hear things in my surrounding environment. I use it mostly with my laptop when viewing MSNBC and programs like that, I've used it with my phone and tablet as well and all works well too. It pairs easily and connects very fast automatically. Hint this is not a multi-connect headset so if you pair it with multiple devices you may have to pair it each time. It will auto "connect" with the device you connected to last if the blue tooth is on. The mic on it works good and the people on the other end tell me that I sound ok or good. On Zoom calls people say that I sound a little distant or like I'm in a hollow room but no real echo. In other words it works good. If you're looking for a multi-connect headset with better quality sound and mic I suggest the Sound Blaster V2. It's also very light weight with the FLAT foam on ear pads. I wrote a review for that as well. I use that primarily with my phone and tablet for calls and when I'm reviewing videos on the tablet. It does feel a little flimsy but it's pretty hardy. The other issue is that there is no battery status until it's low. The battery does last a good amount of time though. Depending on the amount of use I can general get 2 or 3 days before recharging. Overall it's a great little headset and I recommend it or at least give it a try.

I have listened to music a few times and it works well enough for me. That basically means I heard the music (I am not really picky about high end sound). I also like the foam on ear pads as it lets the ears breath better and I can hear things in my surrounding environment. It pairs easily and connects to my phone with no issues. This is actually my second pair. I bought the first pair in Sept 2021 ($25.00 on amazon). They quit working. I bought my second pair in August 2025. The current cost on amazon has doubled to $52.00. I did a "buy now" on a new/unopened pair from the well known auction site for $26.00. I deducted one star because of the one thing that I consider a "flaw"....they are very slick and fall off very easily. I bought a headphone headband protector/cover (also on amazon) that helped with that quite a bit.

I really enjoy using skullcandy brand products. Good quality, built to last a while, and amazing sound. Was able to sync it to my phone with no issues. Plus they shipped it well packaged, so it arrived intact and ready to go.

I always wanted a pair of these when I was a kid. I saw someone snowboarding with them and they looked like they were glued to their head. They advertise a non-slip headband. The headband doesn't feel non-slip to the pad of my finger. The earpads don't fit over the earphones properly so you can see the ugly retention rubber/elastic. The earpads are very slick in texture which doesn't help them stay on. The size adjustment is not smooth and it doesn't really stay in place, it seems to have 3 "zones", s/m/l, instead of a variety of adjustments. The button is obnoxious and gets in the way when you are adjusting, and doesn't include volume adjustment.

These are perfect to west with a beanie! I had the wired ones for a long time, and once they released the Bluetooth version; I knew I had to get a pair. The control button on the side makes listening to music and talking to your friends on the chair lift seamless and hassle free. No need to take off your gloves to use ur phone and pause the music.

First thing, it barely fits my head to my ears, then there is only one button, and accidental hang-ups on the phone is a thing, just moving the headset, accidentally numbing the one button. I also thought that maybe there would be replacement headset foam or something like that. This is not a review for the reseller, but for the original manufacturer. It would also be good that any rechargeable item to come with its own wall plugin, though I understand it isn't to keep the price down and be able to sell to a wider area. If you have a bigger hat size, you are not in the one-size-fits-most sizing like me, don't get this headset. I think that Skullcandy usually has great products, and I think this headset would work for someone with a smaller head and doesn't need to use it for work and play.

I’m on my 2nd pair. The first pair lasted me about 4 years. My husband started using them for sweaty sessions at the gym and he eventually wore off the padding. They don’t sell the padding separately, which is a bummer, so I had to order a new pair. However, I didn’t mind because they lasted so long

Head band is short and it don't reach to my ears to hear comfortably. The diameter of the headphone over the ear is very small and it won't sit very fit, it easily slip. When the battery is at 30% the headset makes a creepy voice saying battery is low. And it abruptly shutdown at 30%. The mic is good, Bluetooth connectivity and distance it could reach are good for the price and sound quality is average. It's ok for gym and rough use and throw it in few months.

Great little head set. Very light. Good sound, connects easily ans rapidly. Doesn’t hold well on my head though and the slightest touch will hang up a call.

The Sound Quality is great. Worth buying, been using it for 4 years now. But there’s only one drawback, it slips from our head as it’s too small in size even though there’s a silicon/ rubber for it to stay firm on our head, it falls every time we move with the headphones on.

Definitely my favorite wireless headset I've ever had. They are so lite. The sound is more than good enough especially for the price. They pair easily and connect quickly. The batery life is so good. They stay on my head even if I only use them with 1 side on my ear. The only thing I would change is the blinking light. I use them alot in bed and the light blinking is bright in the dark and anoying. Had to buy my wife a pair because she kept taking mine. She loves them too.
