Everything I Need to Know About Love I Learned From a Little Golden Book

The Everything I Need to Know....Golden books are great fun! My sister and I grew up with the vintage Golden books, and we both enjoy the Everything I Need to Know series. It's always fun to see illustrations from old favorites; they always bring smiles and happy memories. This is a good book for a Valentine surprise (and other occasions, too, of course.)

Wonderful book with beautiful vintage illustrations and a very sweet and true message about love. For anyone who grew up with Golden Books you will love being transported back to childhood with the illustrations. The story of true love in various stages of life is very sweet. I bought this book for my adult niece and she loved it.

I bought this to tuck in with a bridal shower gift. It is a charming and funny little gift for anyone who grew up on Golden Books. Or remembers reading Golden Books to their own children. It is bound to bring a smile or too. Well done.

OMG, I first saw this book at Target during Valentines Day, purchased the last one... came onto Amazon and purchased two more. I grew up reading Little Golden Books, this book was done so cute... I cried well reading it. Gave a copy to my teenage daughter and my young adult niece and a friend who was going through a break up. Highly recommended!

Sweet gift book for the lovelorn. Beautiful illustrations that bring back memories of reading Golden books as a child. The words are simple (for adults) and kind and hopeful. A good gift for the brokenhearted friend in your life, especially if they appreciate vintage or nostalgia. Of course, true to the books these illustrations are compiled from, don't expect to see people of color or same sex couples. (Think there is one black child and no other non-whites, if memory serves. I first borrowed this at the public library, then bought for a lesbian friend who had just experienced a rough break-up.) If this bothers you, this may not be the book for you. But the pictures are sweet and the words/message about love universal IMO.

THis was a gift for my wife and she loved it. There are a few of these now and she adores each one. I checked one out and I admit the author came up with a clever idea which makes use of the old Golden book drawings we of a certain age fondly remember. Lots of fun and a good gift for the right person.

I was gifted this book years ago by a friend and I loved it so much I bought a copy to gift to another friend. The illustrations are amazing, as well as the way the story is told. It’s a feel-good book

Wonderful book for grown-ups who love Little Golden Books. The story is not for children. It is a sweet story about grown-up love, about feeling like you'll never meet the right person, how dating can be glamorous but sometimes the simple dates are the best, when you do find true love don't leave your friends behind, then it discusses all the wonderful things that love is, and how love can end suddenly, shockingly, but it will come again, put on your big girl panties and take a chance on love again! So sweet and cute. Each page is an illustration from an old LGB from the 40-60s with all the famous artists represented and some I'd never heard of before. Each page tells you the book the illustration is from. I liked this just as much as the Christmas one! Lovely to browse through and such a sweet story.

I wasn’t sure about this book but ordered it anyways. It turned out to be a great novelty book for adults. Very colourful and gave me loads of giggles!
