Mounted it 3 weeks later CORRECTLY. Went out on November 18th, Saturday morning and it took 34 rounds to get it dialed in. Grouped 3 shots within a 2" diameter @ 100 yards. Was frustrated but relieved that I got it dialed in. Hunted Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday before thanksgiving. Monday lined up on a buck 50 yards away, missed. Tuesday same buck 65 yards away, missed. Wednesday missed 2 doe. Friday after thanksgiving went to the range to see what was happening. Shooting roughly 3.5 feet to the right. But up and down was right on. Took 8 rounds to get 3 shots within a 2" diameter. Went hunting December 28th, missed 3 deer, one at 45ish yards, one at 80ish yards while resting on my field bag. Third shot I lined up on a nice doe out of a pack of six. She was broadside with her hind end to the right. Just to the right was a small doe facing the opposite way. So in the scope it looked as if their butts were almost back to back. Roughly 110 yards. The big doe was standing completely still as I was lined up on the sweet spot just behind the right shoulders. I took the shot. Looked down the scope right after and the crosshairs that normally look like this (+) looked like this (×). I missed the doe and hit the small one next to it and shattered it's pelvis. I had to watch it try to drag itself with its front legs for almost 20 yards before she bled out. Moral of the story is this is the most unreliable scope I have ever purchased. 45 rounds of .450 wasted (roughly $85 worth) over 40 hours lost. And the worst hunting year I have ever experienced. DO NOT buy this scope unless your putting it on an air rifle. Now when I adjust the magnification the cross hairs turn with it. Review: ... a pair of Alpen binos I bought that were great. I figured why not give a try - I bought this based on a pair of Alpen binos I bought that were great. I figured why not give a try, the optics are great.

I don't think you can find a better value for the dollar than the optics that Alpen is putting out. I have their Shasta Ridge binos, and I have this scope on three of my rifles and have nothing but good things to say about it. For the money, it can't be beat. Also search by model number on other sites for this scope, I got it for about half of what it is selling for here.
