Got this to attach a 10', 1-1/4" diameter round aluminum pole to a 4" square fence pole. Needed to mount a weather station on top of the round pole 10' off the ground. Bought a new weather station and wanted to mount it as high as possible. Didn't want to dig a hole, pour concrete, to mount the pole so I decided to use the post on my existing backyard fence to hold the pole. The fence has a 4" diameter square post. I put the pole next to the fence post and used 4 of these clamps to hold it tight. This held the pole tight to the fence post and allowed me to mount my weather station up 10' The 8" clamps were long, so I cut about 3-4" off of them and put them around both the fence post and aluminum pole. Took a while to turn the adjusting mechanism tight. At the same point on every full turn, it got difficult to tighten, I had to use extra force each time to get past this point. Other than that, it worked well. Appears to be very tight but don't know why it couldn't have worked smoother.

Needed replacements for my 1995 corvette. Fit well and seems sturdy.

I have been using adjustable Duct Clamps for years. I have never experienced any clamp that does not have a little play in it, so you can get it started and slip it over the vent tube you are trying to secure. There were no more than 8 1/8" around. Normally, would get it started, slip it over the vent tube you are trying to secure. With these, if you start them, they are so tight, it will not slip over an 8" vent, so you could tighten. Had to put the flexible completely open, then try and hold the two parts together close enough with one hand, then try and get it started with the other hand. Once I was able to get it started, there were only a single turn of the adjuster to make it tight. No room for error. Every adjustable clamp I have ever used gives you more than a half inch and sometimes more so you can slip it on and tighten to the vent tube. Not these.Would recommend looking at a different product.

The product measured at the advertised size of 8 inches but wouldn't fit over an 8" pipe. If it was 1/4" longer it would be great.

Needed for fixing a bracket to a pole, ideal good and strong and wont rust
