A simple tool that does its job.
Bought this tool because it was hard to bend the zig zag coils to make them stay in place if they were cut straight. Minutes after its arrival, I finished four coils.

I am mechanically inclined and this does require on something to hold it in place. I build a wooden frame I could use to make it portable

Defective item
I purchased this item and as another commenter stated the bolts included are not flush with the surface. The bolts prevent the spring bender from working properly. I contacted the company requesting a refund of part of the purchase price since I had to go to the hardware store to purchase different bolts so I could use the item. I have not received any response from the company and since I had to complete a job and was on a deadlineI I was unable to return the item. I would recommend purchasing this item elsewhere since I paid a high price for an item that didn’t work as promised. One would assume that this defect would have been corrected already since I see other reviews mentioning the same issue.

Works great. Could not have done a good spring install without it.

Good Company to Buy From
The item arrived quickly and was exactly as described. I keep breaking springs but will have to keep getting better with it. These formers have been around for a long time and are made by Osborne so I know its not the tool's fault I have to keep trying.

Joke of a tool
Not a good tool, would not do the job it was designed to do.

Avoid
Bolts don't sit flush when assembled so the lever catches on them, bolts not long enough to even go through a 2x6, for what I paid for basically 2 piece of metal I expected it to be perfect. Don't buy this.
