Beautiful product, arrived well and securely packed. For cleaning make sure to get the metal beads to swirl around in them, and the drying stand.

I accidentally broke this decanter, my husband's favorite one. I replaced it with a cheaper version from Bed Bath and Beyond (I am not a wine aficionado and I assumed they were all the same). The first time my husband use the cheaper version, he just looked over at me and raised his eyebrows. So I ordered the Riedel, and compared the two before I returned the cheaper one to BB&B. Let's just say… big difference. The Riedel is totally worth its price.

Good product. Looks nice on the table. Only drawback is that it is difficult to clean and dry.

As huge wine lovers, we have an assortment of fancy, elaborate Riedel decanters. I find that although decanting an aged wine helps it open up, I dread having to clean them so I end up not using them. I purchased the Riedel O decanter for my husband as a Father's Day gift, and couldn't be more pleased. It does the job simply and beautifully, and doesn't drip when pouring. And cleanup is a snap! We've been using this decanter almost every time we open a bottle of wine, and leave the Mambo and others as beautiful decorations. I highly recommend it!

Um es vorwegzunehmen, dieser Dekanter ist klein, sehr klein. Um stehend die maximale Oberfläche zu erzielen, sollte man nicht mehr als ca. 0,5l einfüllen, den Inhalt einer Flasche von 0,75l nimmt dieser Dekanter aber ebenfalls problemlos auf. Durch die Ausformung des Bodens und des Korpus ist mit diesem kleinen Dekanter bei entsprechend beherztem Einfüllen dennoch eine gute Belüftung des Weines einer ganzen Flasche obigen Volumens erzielbar. Die Verarbeitung ist makellos, die Materialanmutung perfekt, die Handhabung ganz ausgezeichnet ergonomisch und das das Design durchaus puristisch. Nach dem Genuss gehen aufgrund der Form und des vergleichsweise weiten Halses sowohl Reinigung als auch Trocknung vollkommen problemlos von der Hand, Reinigungsperlen oder ähnliches sind nicht erforderlich. Auf einer großen, festlichen Tafel ginge er nach meinem Dafürhalten jedoch aufgrund seiner Größe eher unter, hier könnte man möglicherweise besser zu einer klassischen, dichbauchigen Form oder der Magnum-Variante dieses Modells greifen. Für den legeren Genuss ist dieser puristische Dekanter dafür nach meiner Meinung bestens geeignet und fügt sich aufgrund seiner Form und Größe bestens in einen abendlichen Tisch in ungezwungener Atmosphäre ein, ob nun zum Grillen oder einfach zu einem Glas guten Weines mit etwas Käse und Brot. Es de calidad que esperas de Riedel, cristal perfecta. Es comodo a usar, forma practica, tampoco es muy pesado. Pero tiene dos cosas menos agradables: es un poco dificil a limpiar, necessitas un cepillo de botella o bolas de limpieza. Tambien me paree que siempre queda una gota fuera despues de verter vino.
