AS I'VE COME TO EXPECT A GOOD PRODUCT FROM STANLEY.THE KNIFE DIDN'T DISAPPOINT.IT WORKS WELL AS IT SHOULD.YOU JUST HAVE TO MAKE SURE THE SCREW IS TIGHT & BLADE PLACED CORRECTLY.THIS IS MY 2ND 1 ORDERED RECENTLY AS MY 1ST WAS MISPLACED & THROWN OUT BY MISTAKE.BOTH KNIVES WORKED WELL.YES I'D BUY THIS STANLEY KNIFE AGAIN.YES I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.JUST REMEMBER IT'S NOT 1 WITH SAFETY COVER FOR THE BLADE THOUGH.I TEND TO FIND THOSE TYPES AREN'T AS STRONG AS THIS STANLEY KNIFE.A GOOD PRICE AT JUST UNDER £4 FOR THE KNIFE.

With a name like Stanley you know the quality of the product is going to be good and this knife is no exception. The knife comes with one blade included so it might be an idea to order a pack of spares at the same time, though I've been using mine to cut up car tyres and it doesn't feel blunt yet. It made the job so much easier than using the retractable bladed knife that I had been using previously. The body is great ergonomically so you can apply plenty of pressure without fear of the knife falling apart or slipping our of your hand. Just remember that the blade isn't retractable, so if you don't want to store it with the blade out all the time, you would have to unscrew the handle to locate the blade inside.

Hard to assemble, size of product is good and very sharp however not the easiest stanly I have ever had to assemble

Good knife

I only have occasional use for a knife like this, so it was an easy decision to buy the reliable name at a great price. Easy to assemble, the blade remains fixed in place, so you have to remember it is always sharp and potentially dangerous. Keep it in plain sight, and that won't be a problem. Solid construction and easily available replacement blades mean this cheap knife should last me for a good many years.

I debated whether to get one with a retractable blade but this is fine. Does the job and I put a small piece of polystyrene over the blade when not in use. Pity they can't provide a small cover to go over the blade.
