Incredible Investment
This has become my absolute favorite EDC (Everyday Carry) knife! I debated for quite awhile over whether to get this and finally decided to drop the cash on it. It was WELL worth the investment. I have carried this exclusively for the past 18 months, and I have a large collection of knives to choose from. This one beats them all for EDC. I have only have to sharpen this once so far and it's kept a razor sharp edge. If I ever feel lazy about the sharpening, Benchmade offers a program where they will return the blade to factory sharpness for just the cost of shipping. Not so much for me since I have a sharpening kit but it's an option. I have taken this apart once after a dip in the ocean. I forgot to take this out of my pocket, so when I returned home I broke out the star bits to take this apart. Taking it apart was not very difficult, but MAKE SURE to note how everything goes back together, as it can be quite difficult to get everything back in the right place. It took me 20-30 minutes to get it back together after cleaning. I definitely view this as an investment because the build quality is great and very sturdy. I could definitely see this one outliving me. I have also never experienced a single lock failure, even when I had to baton with it once or twice. I have become a very big fan of this axis lock, and think this will be my lock of choice from now on.

BEST KNIFE I’VE EVER HAD
Let me start by saying this. I’m your average knife guy. Many knives I’ve ever carried were given to me and cost me or someone else no more than $40. I liked some of them, but they either didn’t last long, were hard to sharpen, or didn’t feel good in my hand. I’ve held a couple benchmades in the past and loved all of them, so I decided to step in with them. Guys, this is night and day difference. It comes arm hair popping sharp, packaged beautifully, and comes with a microfiber bag. (Not sure why, but it does) Spending over $100 dollars is a big jump, I know. But for those of you out there like me, this is worth the investment. You’re buying a knife that’ll last forever. Plus you’re buying something that will always be on you, unlike many other purchases one might make for that kind of money. The other thing I’d like to address, some reviewers are complaining about the grip feeling “cheap.” Don’t get me wrong, they certainly could’ve used a better quality plastic/polymer, but this knife is intended to be light and comfortable to carry for any length of time, and it does that very well! I’d prefer this plastic over steel, which is less durable and less comfortable. I had a steel leatherman that I dropped on the pavement one time and the clip snapped off. The other thing, if you’re overly aggressive in deploying the knife, yup, it’s gonna get sticky. That’s your fault for flinging the thing open like mad man when you’re showing off for your mom. You don’t need to be gentle with it, just don’t be friggin idiot about opening it. This knife is a beauty, and I love carrying it, and will continue to use it for as long as I own it. Props to benchmade for keeping American manufacturing alive, and for making my money worth it and giving me the greatest knife I’ve ever owned. 🇺🇸

Its a Benchmade - My Third
The quality of the craftsmanship is why I get these. I would prefer AUS-8 Steel, bucause it holds a good edge for almost all field work, but is easily sharpened. I need a Diamond Flat stone (Work Sharp Guided Field Sharpener) to sharpen these S30V knife blades. It's ok, since they remain sharp a really long time. . . Just to note, I've had other really good knifes wee great until they had a few months of field work, then screws, bolts, hinges, etc started to wear or break. Hasn't happened to my 3 benchmade knifes yet!

Blade- 👍. Scales/handle - meh…
The blade is sharp, and the mechanism is smooth. The nylon scales feel a little cheap though, particularly on a $160 knife. I have many other knives that are less expensive that feel more substantial in the hand due to more hefty scales.

My EDC, and hands down my favorite knife.
If you're considering getting this knife, allow me to sway you in the right direction. Get it. You can continue to read my review, but it could possibly be slowing down how fast the knife is delivered to you. I have a lot of folding blades, and quite a few fixed blades. All of them serve different functions, some combat, others utility. I can say one thing about all of them though, none EDC as nice as this one. This knife is the perfect size and weight. The handle is made out of a high quality polypropylene that will take a beating almost just as well as the blade. As for the blade, its excellent steel means it keeps an edge for a long time, and with proper care and maintenance this knife should last you a very long time. What I love most about this knife though is that it does not have assisted opening, but it flips open just as fast as one if not faster with the flick of the thumb stud. The axis the knife is on must be top notch because the knife requires a small amount of force to open it, meaning unless something else in your pocket along with the knife somehow opens it, this knife does not come open in your pocket. That is a good thing because it does carry tip up. With that flick of the thumb stud though this thing swoops open lightning quick and locks right into place. If being able to close a knife with one hand is important to you, this knife closes just as fast as it opens with one hand. Just pull down the lock with your thumb and index finger, give it a shake in the right direction and the knife swings down and closes. Let go of the lock as you do it and the knife will stay closed and not bounce back open. Absolutely a great buy.
