Purchase this book along with my guitar and it is great. The exercises are very helpful, and the pictures help understand what is being said. Recommend this book for a guitar beginner. The key to success is practice.

I recently bought several Guitar Head books and just finished reading "Guitar Tabs" for the 2nd time. I'm 59 years old and have plucked around on the guitar most of my life and never knew TABS. This will definitely help simplify being able to write down the fret and string the notes are played on and help me to memorize songs I've been playing. The "Bonus" material, with licks and exercises is definitely a BONUS! Thanks GH for simplifying a way to relate the notes on a musical scale to the notes on the fretboard! An awesome read! Fixing to read one of the next books I purchased: Guitar Fretboard - Memorize the Fretboard in less than 24 hours. If it's anything like TABS, these are a must read for any guitar player at any level. Thanks Guitar Head!

Just what I was looking for!!!! This book was short and straight to the point. It answered all my questions about tab reading quickly and was super easy to understand allowing me to spend more time playing and less time deciphering music theory.

Not a beginner guitarist, but never have taken the time to learn to read tab. This book makes it very simple, is short and to the point, and it's a great buy for the price. The downloadable companion material is also really helpful.

Only book that really explained & show how Tabs work in application. At this time of writing there are new tabs information that is not in the book. This book need to upgraded

Simply laid out and complete

Early reading was simple enough, however the further I got into it the more I lost interest. Too many references to terms I did not understand or have not heard of. Definitely not a book for beginners like me.
