London Mens New Vintage Retro Harrington Jacket Black

Excellent quality and fit, colour is darker than I expected, it's a very dark navy blue, virtual black, but very smart, and I am really pleased with it. At the price paid for the Merc, certainly not worth going for the non branded alternatives!

Has quickly become one of my favourite jackets, it's a cut above all these so called Harrington jackets people are wearing from topman, Burton and urban outfitter. Well worth the money and the quality is excellent

Well made feels good fits perfectly

I’m 6ft & around 14 stone. I am normally an XL but as suggested by others I & went one size up. I found the arm length & waist length a good fit. I found the chest/body slightly roomy. There is a chance that XL would have been a nicer tighter fit around the chest but it’s likely the body & sleeves would have been too short. Overall I’m happy with it, it’s very nicely made, looks good, it’s a very dark navy, almost black in some lights. It’s a nice jacket and looks the part of a Baracuta! I have bought a Baracuta G19 at the same time and I will explain the difference. The Baracuta G19 is made of a softer bomber jacket material whereas the Merc is more of a thick zip top material bit still very soft. A Merc XXL seems to be like a Baracuta XL. The inside tartan of both are extremely similar. They look the same really. However a G19 is much lighter to wear, I hardly feel like I have it on whereas there is more of a weight to the Merc, it’s not heavy it’s just that it isn’t totally lightweight. I will keep both & wear the G19 on really hot days & the Merc will do me when it even gets slightly milder. They both have their place. The Merc actually looks smarter & stiffer & will keep its shape better. The G19 has more of a punk bomber feel to it. Update: After around one month I got caught in a light shower and the jacket got water marks (see pictures) this wouldn’t come off with a light clean or baby wipes, I sent this for a dry clean and it was easily removed, one star deducted as this jacket should be able to withstand a light shower)

Ich finde diese Jacke absolut super. Als mit 1,75m eher kleiner Mann und etwas untersetzt, passt Größe L absolut bequem. Sie trägt sich sehr angenehm, der Stoff ist auch sehr schön und das karierte Futter gefällt mir sehr gut. Und speziell das Futter ist so eine Sache. Ja, es ist der Original-Style der Skins aus den 1980/90ern, wie ich sie live hierzulande und vor allem in London, wo ich einige Zeit lebte, oft erlebt habe. Das war mir vor dem Kauf nicht wirklich bewusst und es ist mir ehrlich gesagt auch egal. Ich trage dazu keine Springs, trage statt Glatze ein angegrautes Haupthaar und gekrempelte Röhrenjeans sind auch nicht so meins. Kleider machen Leute sagt man, aber die Harrington aus mir längst keinen Rechten.

Cela fait longtemps que je cherchais une veste de ce style. Cependant le prix était souvent assez élevé pour moi (+ de 100 euros). Je l'ai eu en réduction, et je l'ai reçu le lendemain dans l'après-midi soit 2 jours à l'avance alors que je ne suis pas abonné prime et est opté pour une livraison gratuite. La veste en elle même est de bonne qualité, les poches se referment avec des boutons, et il y a une poche intérieure gauche.

Eine Baracuta G9 war mir zu teuer. Diese Harington Jacke kommt dem Original sehr nahe. Beim Auspacken viel nur auf, dass die Jacke sehr verknittert war. Das ließ sich mit dem Dampfbügeleisen zwar beheben, wäre bei sorgfältiger Verpackung aber unnötig. Ansonsten fiel kein unangenehmer Geruch auf. Die Jacke macht beim ersten Anfassen einen stabilen und hochwertigen Eindruck. Die Nähte sind sauber verarbeitet und es stehen keine Fäden oder so ab. Highlight ist das Innenfutter im klassischen Karomuster, das sich sehr angenehm weich anfühlt. Die Jacke bietet sich daher auch als Sommerjacke direkt über dem Tshirt an. Der Schnitt ist super, so wie es sein soll. Erwähnenswert ist auch der Reißverschluss. Dieser läuft sehr gut und hängt an keine Stelle. Guter Tragekomfort durch den hochwertigen Eindruck. Aber nach zwei Sommern und etwas mehr als 2 Jahre nach dem Kauf geht nun die Naht am Reißverschluss auf. Sehr ärgerlich da kaum zu reparieren. Deshalb zwei Punkte Abzug. Ich kann diese Jacke daher nur eingeschränkt empfehlen.
