I had to hang wallpaper up in my stairwell. I used this ladder aid and it worked as described and I'm Definity glad I bought this because I couldn't do it without it. It was very easy to install and it was very stable. I would recommend this item to anyone.

Perfect solution to get high up on our stairwell!
We couldn’t figure out how to get up high on our stairwell wall!! We have a 4 story house. Once I found this on Amazon, I knew it would work. Genius!! It made it all quite easy!! It’s very well made, it’s very adjustable so you get a solid feel. It’s was worth every cent. If we didn’t have this we would have had to hire someone!!

Worth it
I purchase this to help me paint my stair case walls and high ceiling. This product is def well made has a little weight to it. They def didn’t go cheap on making this. I felt very safe using my ladder on top of it. Got the job done. Save some cash by not hiring someone to do the job of painting my staircase walls and ceiling.

Well designed - the way to go for painting walls in stairways
I had some doubts when reading the advertisements about this device. But, the only alternative was scaffolding which was going to be a nightmare to install and would have to be rented and transported. This unit is adjustable for just about any stair dimensions and is very stable. We used it with a 16 foot extension ladder, but with the ladder all the way retracted at 8'. A longer ladder would not work in a typical stairwell. Also, the adjustable ladders like Little Giant and others sold at Lowe do NOT fit this device as those ladders flair out at the base and are too wide to fit the Ladder Aide. One person can set this up with the ladder, but having a helper makes it a bit easier. I used it on bare wooden stairs and the Ladder Aide has a rubber surface that contacts the stairs to you won't experience any marring of the wood. I don't know if thickly carpeted stairs would affect the stability.

Looks scary, but it is actually safe.
From the picture you might think you are taking your life into your own hands if using this, but it is actually well built and stable. The rubber is thick and grips the stair well. The ladder platform is walled off so the ladder can't slip off of it. The metal is a sturdy gauge. I'm sure there are Chinese knockoffs that could indeed be scary, but this one is legit. It sucks to have to shell out this much money just to cut in that single line of paint at the top of the stairwell that your roller can't cover, but you are pretty much stuck with this reality.

Safe, easy to use - paints stairwell walls!
Awesome painting tool! I painted very high walls in a steep staircase - COMPLETELY SAFELY!!!! Im 70 years old and I felt completely safe with this tool I used to hold a ladder in place on stairwell. It is an easy set up - just place it on the stairs and set a ladder in place to reach very hard to reach, tall walls. Very inexpensive and a terrific problem solver.

Very stable base for extension ladder
Had no worries painting the ceiling and walls above our stairway with this. I looked at the cheaper options and felt this was worth the relatively small amount of extra money. The rubber feet in particular seemed like better quality than the cheaper options. Overall this felt very stable on carpeted stairs. I used it with 16 and 24-foot extension ladders.

Really easy to setup. worked awesome wish I had bought one of these years ago.
The product was really sturdy on the stairs. Worked as described with an extension ladder in a stairwell. The assembly was really easy to setup and adjust as needed. The pins make it even easier and it disassembles really compact.

The ladder-aid pro is a life saver. This product is easy to assemble and to my surprise is extremely sturdy. Painting at 18' high in an open stair case is challenging, but this product made this task much simpler. I am impressed with how stable the ladder was on this device and how the rubber prevented any movement of the ladder. I felt safe. Highly recommended to anyone who must do ladder work on stairs. Bottom line, what this product offers is not worth trying to jerry rig something to put under your ladder and risking your life. Well worth the cost.

De construcción robusta, firme, pesado, confiable y muy práctico. Excelente complemento para constructores, contratistas y personal que requiere colocar una escalera con diferencial de niveles. Superó mis expectativas.

I have a huge wall over some stairs. Scaffolding was a poor and expensive option. This solved it. I recommend using a small spirit level to check this is set up correctly and level before you put the ladders on it and that you have someone holding the ladder. It's easy to setup out of the box using the pins rather than the bolts - about 5 mins. Maybe the manufacturer should think about including a spirit level into the design.
