Delightful
Real good product, smells just awful like it should. I've purchased a lot of valerian root in the past 15 years since I began using herbs. This is some of the best product I've found.

Amazing Quality
I'm an Ayurvedic Practitioner and sourcing good herbs can be a challenge, especially lesser common herbs and in bulk like this. I prefer to purchase single herbs and make my own formulas for myself or clients. The strength and efficacy of this herb is great. For those interested - it can be paired with Bramhi to reduce it's dulling and heating effect. Steam with milk, ghee, and turbinados for a very potent bed time sedative

Seems just fine to me...
other review apparently complained about scent and taste - valerian root has a very strong scent and taste, though to my senses it is not offensive. that's just the way it is. I was looking for organic Indian valerian/valeriana wallichi, which is reputed to have the same essental calming and sedating effects as western valerian/valeriana officinalis, without being dulling, as the western variety is said to be. wildcrafted, 2x potency, this product fills the bill.

This will cure your insomnia. Sure it smells disgusting but it is the real deal! Take it before sleep, and become a new person the next morning, tastes just like prozac!

Reeks
We were going to make capsules out of the powder for relaxation. The smells is absolutely disgusting. It was placed in our mailbox when it was delivered and I seriously looked around when I opened the mailbox, thinking there was a dead animal near it. So gross
