These are great for people that use zip locked type bags all the time. We found that if you fold the top edge before inserting it, it stays in WAY better and then you don't get the zipper part of the bag messy, making it hard to seal. Holds up to a gallon size bag that can have liquid or other substance that makes it heavy. Holds well and hugely convenient!

Update: I bought this in 2019 and have used it constantly. I have also given this as a gift to 5 cooks. They call to say thank you for the gift, then I ask them if they know what it is. 5 for 5 they haven't a clue. So one of the joys is telling them to open the arms, extend them and then get a baggie. OH! That's so cleaver! I should have thought of that! This item has prevented so many major messes in my kitchen that I have lost count! And although it might see flimsy, I've filled gallon freezer bags with stew and nothing buckled. (Be sure the baggie is firmly resting on the counter before filling). Best gadget I have ever bought for my kitchen! 5-stars! * * * Looking at the pictures I wasn't sure how sturdy it was going to be, but at the price I'd try it. Yes, there is some flex in the arms and I wouldn't put a west stew into it (until maybe partially frozen) but it does work nicely. I used it to ladle a rice dish and pulled pork into vacuum bags. Be sure to have the bottom of the bag resting on the base or it will pull out of the build in clips. In fact you MAY want to supplement them with bulldogs to give extra hold. 8 bags later and my hands are clean, the counter has a few drips, but it WORKS.

Makes it a lot easier to transfer food into ziploc bags! Just wish the stand would suction better to the counter, it still moves around. As well, I wish it would have a lock feature to make sure the bags don’t fall down, they can easily come out during transfer. Last but not least, I wish it would be able to hold the bag open wider. Other than that, it’s a good tool and helps!

I bought 4 of these a few months ago to bag homemade soups in pint-size bags to freeze for my mom. My mom and I find that bags work better for freezing soups and other food items as compared to hard surface storage containers. The only problem with bags was filling them with soup without making a mess. Also, filling the bags required two people to do the job (one to hold the bag open while the other filled it). I bought these bag holders and they are a lifesaver!! Now, it's easy even for one person to fill the bags, and there's no mess. My mom almost gets a little giddy now when she uses the bag holders. She always comments on how much easier they've made the task of storing food. After several uses, we have found that these bags do just what they say they do. They are sturdy, adjustable in height, and they fold down for ease of storage. They can accommodate up to a gallon size bag, though we use them just for pint and quart-size bags. We have found them to be strong enough to hold pint-size bags full of soups with no problems. I can't attest to the suctioning capability as we have found that we don't need the suction. The device is sturdy enough to use without suction in our experience. We love these so much that I just bought 4 more. I HIGHLY recommend!!

This comes in VERY HANDY when trying to package left over soup or any other left overs.. especially when you don't have anyone around to "hold the bag open" for you. ALSO I am excited to have this for Christmas day dinner. We always have alot of ham and turkey left over,( which are both very juicy items), this will be GREAT when we are trying to pick all the meat off the bones so we can put the left overs in the fridge which usually takes one person picking off the meat and one person holding the zip lock bag..NOT ANYMORE! Now we can get it done in half the time bc two people can pick meat and nobody has to hold a bag open, . I'M TEMPTED TO BUY 2 MORE

They did the job for a short time. One was broken right out of the package but because of the price I didn’t bother with a return. I was able to use one for a while but it fell apart pretty quickly.

Wish I had found this before I purchased a counter style compost container. Although I have used this to fill a sandwich bag, I find that it is my go-to for food waste. I am able to re-use the bags from vegetable or fruit purchases, lunchmeat, and more, for this purpose. The clips hold the bag open, which is particularly helpful when your hands are sticky or in the middle of preparing meat or cleaning veggies or whatever, and you don't have to stop and open up a bag to dispose of waste. Easy to remove from the holder, twist, tie and throw away. This came as a two pack, which I wasn't sure that I would use both at the same time, but have found myself doing so. Not often, but it was helpful at the time. Couldn't be easier to use!

I just love these. They make things so much easier! Bagging up veggies or separating meat to freeze etc is so much easier with an extra set of hands to hold the bag open!!
