Player Telecaster SS Electric Guitar, 3-Color Sunburst, Pau Ferro Fingerboard

I bought this guitar for ~700 before tax so I am reviewing it for that price. I was horrified when I opened the box. Virtually all of the major points had issues with them. Good: 1. Finish was good. No cracks, dents, etc. Bad: 1. Frets are uneven and will need a fret level. 2. The setup is horrible. About 5-6mm of "action." I think this was done to hide the fact the frets aren't level 3. The fret ends are sharp and the string gets caught on them 4. The plastic on the selector switch broke off almost immediately. Plastic is super soft. 5. There is clear coat overspray on the first fret area right under the nut. Will have to sand to get off. This guitar needs about $200-300 worth of work to get to a comfortable point for me to play. It isn't worth it for me at this point so I am just returning it. I bought the Squier version for much cheaper that I will upgrade over time. That also has some issues but I will still be about $700 richer after upgrades for roughly the same performance. Be really careful with this one. It may be better to buy a used MIM somewhere or get a Squier and tweak that for less than half the price of this new.

I had to send it back because it was bouncing around in the box ! Not Amazon's fault it was the fender original box . So it bounced from Mexico to Toronto Canada:( Could not take the chance that something was wrong with it . Not sure if I would take the risk of buying it again. Beautiful looking guitar wish I got to play it!
