Wind & Weather Antiqued Brass Poem Compass with Leather Case

It looks amazing; exactly like the picture,like a real antique, looks beautiful on my desk. I took it outside (skeptical at first) and it does indeed work! The case has a belt buckle which looks so cool not to mention the poem on the lid. Will do business again

I bought this to go with a treasure chest for my 3 year old son. I was surprised by how great the quality is, and the needle even works. I honestly expected plastic junk. lol This is going to be used a lot and I’m sure it will hold up. I’m so excited for him to open it on Christmas!

Nice looking gift item. I don't know about how useful and accurrate as a compass, but nice case, nice looking instrument.

This was a graduation gift for my son. (I had purchased him a few other items so this was a last minute add-on.) The company shipped it next day for me so I could have it in time. The package was so well packaged that even though there was a boot print on the outside packaging (I am assuming was left by the delivery driver) the inside packaging was secure! The little (let's call it pleather) case it comes in is nice enough with a little buckle to fasten it shut. I was most pleased that the material of the case was soft enough to allow me to personalize the gift by using my metal letter stamps to stamp his name into the case. The compass itself looks worn and old, this is not a complaint as it was what I was hoping for! My son has an old soul and likes antiques so this was perfect! The Robert Frost poem inside was so nice, the print is very small but in fairness, there is not a lot of room in the lid so I was impressed they were able to fit the whole poem! (Besides, my son was able to read it just fine, so that is all that matters!) Overall, I was very pleased with my purchase. I have seen this item as well as similar items selling for much much more on Amazon and other sites! So this was an amazing price for it! (It pays to shop around!) ;)

I didn't know what to expect from this but I was happily surprised for how cool it was for the price. A way better value than I expected. It's quality and hand made authentic look made it the perfect gift. There was a little cracking in the case but other than that I was great! Heavy too.

Disappointed that the case doesn’t clip on but has a belt loop. What young boy wears a belt?

Perfect pocket compass.. great value for the money and did I mention it is also scratch resistant..

I have low expectations generally and am not too picky, but what a nice present. I gave this to my brother as part of his birthday gift since I had thought it looked neat and he was really touched by it. I'm not sure if the case is leather and the compass itself, although it works, didn't blow me away, but the presentation as a whole with the awesome poem engraving makes it a really thoughtful gift. With the engraving and rustic appearance it looks like something more expensive than it was and not something you might feel bad as giving as a present to that hard to buy for person.
