Had a hail storm recently that shattered my oem 3rd brake light. Found this item and it was a perfect fit/sealed great against the truck. I was pleasantly surprised that this already came pre wired and ready to plug in. Overall super happy with my purchase. Will definitely seek out Dorman products when looking in the future.

My old one had a flattened seal and was leaking water into the cab. I replaced this well over a year ago with this product and it has held up and been great can't complain at all 2014 Dodge ram quad cab.

Almost identical to OEM third brake light. Installation is a breeze, just make sure you thoroughly clean (rubbing alcohol) the channel where the seal sits before installation. When I removed the old light the seal at the top was completely compressed letting water in. This light has a very nice seal and looks exactly like the factory one. Highly recommend

I got it because you know what on the OEM one. Foam is thicker and everything is pretty much the same otherwise. Good deal for the price and works well (so far). The foam weatherstripping on mine though wasn’t fully secured. It was like the contact points were following a dotted line vs just fully mounted. Had to do some fitment of the foam and some adjusting but it worked out well enough. Not a good first impression though with it falling apart. Since the foam is thicker I had to line it up by guesstimating and you have to push on it a little so you can get the screws some room before it starts needing some pressure to advance. Would buy again but hopefully won’t.

18 months ago, I had replaced my OEM brake light with an LED. It developed so much water inside and then the LEDs started to fail (so much for LED lasting longer). When with this Dorman and can already tell that the quality of the build is better. The gasket is 2-3x thicker than the LED junk. Might replace the halogen bulbs with LEDs but for now I have much higher hopes that this one will last longer.

After the third break light went out I originally bought just led bulbs thinking that would fix the issue. It did not and so I got the whole replacement. I was able to use this housing with the led light bulbs. No issues so far. Easy to install. Took more time getting it out of the packaging then it did installing.
