KOP4800 One Pro Premium Satellite TV Antenna - Works with Dish, DIRECTV, or Bell (Canada), Western Arc Satellites, Clear (Smoke)

For five years I have been nothing but frustrated with Dish satellite reception in our RV. I would get a signal only to lose it almost as quickly as I received it with the Dish Playmaker. Finally, a Dish support technician recommended the King One Pro, telling me that, because of the separate power source, it would send a stronger signal to the receiver. He was right. They are expensive, but very reliable, even when the view of the satellite is partially obstructed. Buy it and end the frustration.

Should have purchased years go and not had to put out the tripod with dish. This was fairly easy to set up but did require a reset a couple times to get it to find an actual satellite.

I bought this to replace the dish that I had to struggle to set up each time when I took out the RV. Thought it would be so much easier. Received it and tested it. The test was a quick on and seemed to work ok. Since it was for the RV it sat there until our next trip. Sadly this trip is 2 days past the return window for Amazon and it doesn't work. It finds satellites, just usually not the right one. When it does find 101 it doesnt communicate with my D12 reciever. The strenght of the signal never gets above 74%. The reciever keeps searching for a satellite signal but doesn't ever find it. It worked somewhat one night, but would only get about 1/4 of the channels I should get. I tried customer service. All I could ever get was a recording that said they were getting a lot of calls (I bet so if this is how their equpment is) and it would be anywhere from 24 to 72 hours for a return call. Still waiting. I am so disappointed with this. I have wasted a lot of money I could have well used elsewhere. I am going back to my old metal dish and hope that some day I will be able to get some trouble shooting help and figure out what to do with this. It is not heavy enough to make a good anchor and it is a poor yard ornament. I would not waste your money on this. If things change I will update this review, but don't hold your breath the way things are going.

If you do your homework and make sure your Direct TV boxes are compatible, this dish is easy to install and works perfectly. My HD channels work. It's finds satellite signal within about 3 minutes.

ETA - After contacting King, yet another time, they are now willing to back up their unit, as long as we use a bracket that they specify. This bracket specification was not on the instructions that came with the unit, hence why one was not used. I am leaving up my old review, in case others run into this issue, and it can help them resolve it with the company. ***Original Review*** King will not honor the warranty. I've had my current unit 9 months and it quit working. They're telling me they will not honor the warranty, because I didn't use a specific bracket, even though said bracket is not listed ANYWHERE in the instructions that came with the unit. This is the 4th or 5th King product that I have owned, but due to the current state of their customer service, I will never buy one of these again, and I recommend others steer clear, as well.

It takes a minute to find the satellite but once it locks in you have your satellite channels. Very lite weight. Everyone needs to know that you have to have a receiver and a account with direct tv or dish for it to work.

Absolutely love my King Satellite Dish. It was easy to install, no problems with quality and gives great reception. Also I like the fact that it’s far and contrasts very well with my truck. It helps seeing and know where the antenna is pointing as well.

This portable satellite dish is easy to setup and use. For my application with Bell this did not work at the time that I tried. Wishing it works for you 📡
