PDP Afterglow Nur PS4/PS3 Headset - Black (Old Version)

My 12 year old son saved his money from his birthday just to get a pair of nice gaming headphones... he was set on Beats or Turtle Beach until I read reviews and compared prices. These are absolutely PHENOMENAL! I saw others complain about the mic quality, but I definitely cannot say the same. It is clear, and the sound is intense. The color changing lights are cute, but most of the time he doesn't use them because they are distracting. They are super comfortable. The charging doc is perfect and charges pretty quickly. They hold a charge for a while, he often falls asleep with them on his head listening to music... which means he forgets to turn them off; the battery life is wonderful.

As another reviewer posted - a lot of the reviews for this headset are fake or were written prior to the release date of this model from PDP. I received mine from Amazon last week. Upon opening the package - it appeared as if my headset had been returned which explained to me how Amazon was able to send it to me about a week ahead of schedule than what they had originally estimated my delivery date to be due to being out of stock. The tape tabs on the top of the box had been cut and then a 2nd set of tape tabs were placed on top of those. On opening the box and taking everything out - it seemed like a solid and well built unit. I followed the directions and hooked everything up to the PS4 and then followed the directions to set it up on the settings page. The sound took a little bit to get used to from my Sony Gold Headset that I've been using for the last year. I also was hearing a lot of minor snaps and crackles on the headset which I was eventually able to get rid of by adjusting the volume levels on the headset. The problems started when I started talking to my friends online - immediately every one I spoke with was able to tell that I had gotten a new headset and several of them attempted to help me figure out why it sounded so horrible. They all commented on an echo - something you definitely don't want to hear when you are talking with friends in an online game. They also all made jokes about how I sounded muffled, distant, in a hole, scratchy, and the list went on and on. Nothing I adjusted in the PS4 settings for Audio / Headset helped to improve the quality of my voice over the microphone. I attributed this to a faulty design of the boom microphone. One of my friends even offered to buy the headset from me if I would only go back to my old Sony headset that I had been using. I then checked online for the reviews and realized that all of the reviews were pretty much from well over a month prior to this headset even being released - many in November of 2014. I find it hard to review a product that is not even available to purchase. Bottom line is I had to return this headset. After spending almost $160 for a headset that irritated and annoyed my online gaming friends - why would you keep it? So if you are only interested in hearing game noise and have no intention of talking to anybody in an online game - this headset may be perfect for you. The sound was good, the headset was comfortable and it seems very well made. If however you intend to actually talk to another live person in game - I'd steer clear of this headset or at least make a back up plan to give it as a gift to somebody you don't like.

Says it works with ps3 but ps3 does not have the volume control high enough to get your voice. Ps4 works wonderfully but there is a humming sound that does not go away

The left ear has an annoying rattle sound, and the mic quality is awful. It also stopped charging with a regular wire, only charges now on the stand.

AMAZING sound quality, easy to use and set up! On battlefield hardline it seems like the microphone is hit or miss but in the PS4 party chat it sounds great. the colors alternate and you can "lock" in one color. the charging base can be removed from the clear stand pictured and be wall mounted which is very cool.

I love these headsets! My friend got one that was damaged so be sure to test as soon as you get them. They, like anything, can become damaged in shipping.

I'll no doubt be returning these. The main reason I purchased the headset was to replace the stock mic/ear-bud that came with my PS4. The sound from the speakers are great. All the controls, on the left ear-cup are easily understood and used. However, for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get the mic to work clearly. It "works" in that my party members can hear me but I get complaints about sounding as though I'm too far away from the mic or they claim I sound as though I'm underwater. I messed with every setting I could find on both the PS4 & the headset but still no joy! I had to revert back to the cheap mic/ear-bud setup that plugs into the controller. I Should have just saved the $150! I may try to pick up an official "PlayStation Gold Wireless Stereo Headset" as it gets decent reviews. Then again, this headset's reviews were what led to this purchase....

Sur le papier le casque est au top. Deux produits reçus aucun des deux n'a pu se synchroniser avec le socle émetteur. Casque fonctionnait en mode mobile super son confortable mais impossible à utiliser en sans fils. Amazon niquel 5 étoiles pour l'échange et remboursement.

L unica nota positiva di quest ordine è che è arrivato un giorno prima del previsto. All apertura del pacco, la scatola contenente le cuffie era pieno di polvere ed i 2 sigilli interni erano aperti. La base in se per se era funzionante ma le cuffie assolutamente no, microfono e led completamente non funzionanti e quindi inutilizzabile visto che non erano riconosciute dalla stessa base. Ho chiesto subito il reso ad amazon e sono stato rimborsato. Ho provveduto a restituire il tutto. L assistenza clienti amazon comunque è stata impeccabile perché hanno capito il problema senza battere ciglio, in questo sono i numeri uno. Sarò stato sfortunato io essendo l unico pezzo rimasto come nuovo ma ciò non toglie tutto il mio dispiacere.

Despues de probarlo. Un par de cosas, la calidad de construccion deberia dar una mejor sensacion,aunque no esta mal. El sonido me ha gustado mucho,suena muy bien comparado con mis otros cascos de 50€,suenan bastante mejor. A mi me resultan comodos. La torre de carga wireless tiene entrada de audio de alta fidelidad. Contento con la compra ,lo uso en pc. A mi me costo menos de 35€ con lo que muy bien. No lo compraria por mas de 80€.

It does NOT work on the PS3 (who has one, anyway?) As stated on specifications So... After 3 different customer service tried to help me make them work, it could not be use for streaming video therefore I had no use for them. Had them for 10 days, and after 2 emails were sent each way, communication with customer services was cut off. That way we had to start from scratch every time and re-reexplain the situation to the new agent. I was left with no news from them for 4 days and decided to return the item. Funnily enough, after they went blind, mute and deaf, I got 2 emails yesterday and another one today stating the problem couldn't be solved and offering further assistance...and that's more than 15 days after returning them... I don't know what to say...

Los auriculares son espectaculares tanto en diseño, es un puntazo lo de las luces y el efecto de la iluminación sobre la electrónica, tienen un sonido de muy muy buena calidad, mas aun si se activa el modo PURE BASS, ademas no sufre de cortes aunque sea por bluetooth la comunicación, pero tiene un GRANDISIMO fallo y es el micrófono. Primero porque no te escuchas tu voz, ni hay forma de configurarlo y Segundo porque se produce un efecto de eco y reverberación de la voz totalmente extremo, que hace imposible mantener una conversación, porque a mas inri, la otra persona se escucha a si misma por mucho que bajes el sonido de los auriculares/micrófono, supongo que es un fallo de diseño al traer el micrófono integrado en la carcasa y las propias vibraciones de los auriculares se meten en el micro. En definitiva un producto que compraría para disfrutar de por ejemplo las campañas de los juegos, pero no para un multiplayer donde hay que estar con conversación con mas jugadores. Indicar que el paquete trae cable optico, usb, la base, los auriculares y un cable macho - macho jack 3.5mm, lo que los hace compatible con moviles, mp3, pcs...etc Un saludo.
